Motorcycle insurance in Md

Who do you guys use?

Progressive and Geico are both very expensive... I called Statefarm, but they will only give me a quote for every vehicle in the house.

Is it true that some people get full coverage on sportbikes for under 1000$ pr/yr?

My insurance cost about 280 a year for full coverage on a 98 GSXR 750.

I have Statefarm, unfortunately they will only cover you if you have another vehichle under them.

Progressive is a rip off they were charging me almost 400 for liability alone.

My '04 R1 runs about $320 a year for full coverage with State Farm. And they won't write cycle-only policies, but when you insure multiple vehicles the rates are very competitive. I've shopped around every year or so to compare, and nobody has ever beat their prices. I've been with them 18 years now.

take the beginner MSF course... and fax the insurance company your certificate, it will lower your insurance. I'm getting an FZ6 this winter. Gotta check the quote with USAA however.

I was on my 4th motorcycle before I even got my motorcycle license (and even had 12k miles on it when I used it to take the test). It SHOULD matter but to some companies it doesn't.
