today i had a lot of fun, it was great to see everyone there! on the way to kimbles, i broke 400 miles on the engine. so that means under 100 miles 'til i hit low boost! Mike, i didn't see you after we got on 495, but i'm very pleased to say, your car finally smells like a turbo car! who had the fast time of the day?

good times, but i think im gonna stick to the time trials. much more rewarding as far as seat time goes. theres a lot to learn about autocrossing, and i clearly forgot everything i learned last year. its just paying $40 for 5 minutes of racing doesnt make much sense to me. i knew that going into today. it was great to be racing the RX-7 again tho0uhg, i just wish i was racing it correctly . meh, im not too worried about doing awful today.
Christian and Alan thanks a lot for helping me in the grid. i guess it wasnt much, but i still really apreciate it. as for fast time of the day, we all know it wasnt me. i know my car should be a fast car, but a car is only as fast as its driver. and i more then know its safe to say i am a slow driver as of right now! a rusty novice, ill get back into it.
i think i might stick with time trials though. theres an event in November that i wanna run at Lime Rock. im gonna have to look into that. ill probably be at the next autocross event to help out in august.
as for a meet, set up the date, time, and place. i really like food, so anywhere with good parking and good food is a good place to meet. im just gonna put it out there, but i do enjoy Moes. i wanna check out the FC's and the 300zx in more detail, so even a cruise night would be cool. cruise being meet up somewhere and cruise somewhere for food. i outgrew the strip, so i didnt mean main street worcester. however, if you wanna see a lot of nice cars, Berlin Turnpike has a lotta nice cars almost every saturday of the summer. They also have a Hooters..... so that might be a good option. maybe look into getting some New York, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and maybe New Hampshire guys into meeting up there. i dont know, just ideas off the top of my head.
it was good to see you all today. sorry to disappoint in the RX-7 for those who had high expectations.

As of right now nothing much. i replaced the thermostat tonight just for ****'s and giggles and i cleaned alot of buildup off the temp sensor. it was reading higher temps at highway speed but it seems fine now.

I'd love to come to all these meets and things, but I work Sat/Sun mornings. Can we schedule an evening dinner or something? I'd love that! Than everybody can hear me grind 2nd because I have no synchros!
Edit: I can do wed/thurs at anytime. That's basically my weekend.

Hey guys... sorry we didn't make it out to Devens on Sunday. David and I spent most of the weekend working on the Navigator to replace the heater core. What a beast of a project. We had to remove the entire dash to get at the heater box. So many electrical connections to disconnect and screws/bolts to remove that I lost count. Funny thing is that the actual heater core is a $67 part but it takes somewhere around 30+ manhours of labor to put it in.
Now that the Navigator is all back together, we can turn our attention to our AE. Double pulley alternator/water pump set up is our next try at fixing our overheating issue.
Hey Rick - I like the new "logo". A "Heidi" creation?
Christian - so you did get an AE. Where from? Is the motor a recent rebuild?

thanks, shaun. that is in fact a heidigumula.net creation. I gave her the ideas, a awful drawing of what i wanted, and she came back with a design. some minor tweaking, and you get the official Rotary Amuse logo. let her know if you guys still need something made up.

Yepo. The town car is actually my grandmother's car but she doesn't use it, so I do. as for the engine... the rebuild isn't over yet , but yes, I will definitly get some dyno numbers asap!
In other news i hit 1 psi tonight in a short test and tune session at Billy's house. no problems.

Shaun and Dave you should see the Z now with the turbo engine it is so much quicker. To bad they wouldnt let me AutoX it because of rot where the drives seat bolts down, so I cant say if it helps my times but I'm sure it will when i get that problem fixed. I just hit 900mi on the on the turbo engine today. I plan on putting it on the dyno as soon as i get a manual boost controler because stock 6.8psi just isnt cutting it.

wideband installed and up and running.....minus calibration. it is very sweat. the sensor itself fits right into the factory bung and the control unit has a very handy narrowband simulation output so i can give narrowband readings to the ecu.
Rick, small world. tonight Alan Billy and I were out in worcester and randomly met some kid named dan who drives an mr2 turbo. we were talking and he said he knew a guy with a third gen and his name is Rick! How the hell do you know so many people?! we should call you the central-mass impost car Pimp!
