COMSCC
COM will waive the membership dues if you register for an away event. You just need a helmet and a long sleeved shirt if you run in Stock or Street Touring. Street Prepared and Prepared require the extra equipment Rick listed. Open topped cars, no matter what class, are required to have a roll bar and arm restraints. Prepared cars are required to have a window net.

Things you can change for each class (basic summary):
Stock- Brake pads & tires
Street Touring - Suspension, wheel size, intake, exhaust (must have a cat), update/backdate brakes, ECU flash (not boost)
Street Prepared - Increase boost, add a turbo or S/C, same manufacturer motor or trans swap, aero, aftermarket brake upgrade, internal motor work, fuel and ignition system upgrades
Prepared - Non manufacturer motor swap, fender flares, gutted interior, kit cars

Christian- ill get those pictures scanned in as soon as i get the chance.

you are looking for the FC Dataloggit. unless you are planning on tuning your car yourself, you really dont need it. you should be fine with just the FC Commander. i gave Jesse my FC Dataloggit so if you really need to fine tune your car (and dont feel like having Dave at KDR or Steve Kan do it) im sure he'd help you out. did Jay put a base map for your mods on your PFC?

you can get it here: RX-7.com FC Dataloggit

Well the map that comes on it is set for an intake, DP, and cat-back, so there is no need to have him set a map for me. Even so, I wouldn't have the confidence in them to tune a computer for a car they have never even seen, I would rather be safe than sorry and work from a stock base map. I would like to at least get my feet wet and try some basic tuning for myself and see if I get positive results. Did Jesse buy your dataloggit or is he just borrowing it? I really don't feel like spending the extra 340 dollars it costs if I have a friend with access to it, you know? I'll just see how far I can go using the commander and then go from there.

Pete, what is considered an "away event"? looks like you are going to have to get a window net Rick .

What is considered "open topped cars". My Z has T-tops so does that mean I would need a roll bar?

I would think so. Post any questions on the COM forums and someone who knows the rules better will chime in and clarify. http://www.comscc.org/forums/

i got a bunch of parts today from a guy from maine.
street ported rotor housings, a new tranny w/ mazdatrix short throw shifter, water pump/ housing. oil pump, oil pan, and 2 550 rc injectors(freshley rebuilt).

realy nice stuff , the housings are in perfect shape and were ported by a company in washington state. now i'll just need to get templates for my intake porting.

Nice Andy! it sounds like you're gonna make some good numbers when it all comes together.

I'm hoping that by next weekend my car will be back on the road, as long as Rx7store comes through and ships my radiator. ***word to the wise, don't order from them if you don't have patience***

Fixed the starting problem in my t2 finally. It was the ignition switch....it was just dirty...!! So if any of you have starting problems in your FC just clean the contacts on the ignition switch since it took 30 minutes at most

Hey, ive been thinkin and decided im prolly going to go with a BNR stage 2 turbo upgrade...But i have been wondering if the stage 3 is woth it.... I was just wondering if the stage 3 is too large for auto X since it may decrease torque.

the stage 3 seems fine as far as i've seen, it' spools pretty low rpm, so i cant see how it could decrease torque, i'm going with the stage 3 for my t2

this is what i started with, 3 feet of 3/4 inch aluminum square tube from home depot.

i forgot to take pictures of the in between steps, but after various cuts and drills, i ended up with this apparatus.

after i took more measurements, i drilled the frame and then tapped the holes to accept a 6mm x 1.0 pitch bolt.

After doing the same for the other side, i test fit the radiator, tightened the brackets down and then put the raidator back in. this is the final product.

the radiator came out very nice. what are you doing for intercooler piping? do you still need those pictures of my setup? all i have are pictures of my FMIC bolted up without the front bumper or piping installed.

good luck on finishing it. its coming together nicely.

Christian, im sorry it took me so long. i couldnt find my printer/scanner cable to scan these onto my laptop, so i had to take pictures of the pictures. im sorry for the horrible resolution. if you have any questions about the set up, as always, feel free to ask; the pictures are hard to interpret.

*note- that's a cardboard box in front of my intercooler core for protection, it really doesnt have HKS sprayed on it.*
