celebrity sighting at my work last night. http://www.tantriconline.com/compone.../limitstart,9/
lead singer of the band Tantric. the reason i knew to look him up was because he answered his cell phone and during the conversation said he was going on tour with Tantric. he also gave me his license to return a pair of gloves so i had his full name. kind of bizarre if you ask me.

haha, thanks Christian. There's so many people to thank, i was so unprepared for this.....
i was talking about the Moe's in Worcester on Park Ave. 10ish at night? or 10ish in the A.M.? if no one can make it tomorrow, we can set something up for a later date, this is rather last second.

im not 100% for F1 this weekend. I have to meet a gentlemen over the weekend to sell my seats and i have to prepare my Legacy for an upcoming rally event.
i will have a definite answer if i will be there by Friday (which for some is understandably way too late.) if i cant make it, i hope everyone has a great time anyways. it's a good track (minus some crappy carts) and everyone should have a good time. if i cant make it to this one, im sure i'll make it out another time. i just feel (and look) like a huge *** since it was my idea in the first place.

happy birthday, Shawn.
did you guys still end up going to F1?
Andy- it doesnt look like ill be seeing you anytime soon at the mountain; well, as long as this weather holds up.
anyone interested in Rally Crossing? (autocrossing on a dirt or snow covered surface, pretty much.) im thinking about racing/breaking the daily driver on January 27th at an event at Stafford Springs, Ct.

Rick, i know that Mike and Joe will be down at the rally cross on the 28th. Mike in his 300 and Joe in his Beemer. We have been working like crazy on Joe's T2 trying to finish it. Friday night we got the S5 rear and front harnesses in but we are running into some problems behind the dash. all we need to do is get the wiring figured out and add coolant and oil and the car should run.

mike- i am going to the rallycross event, but im not sure if ill be racing or not. if there's snow on the ground, ill definitely be racing; if its dry, im just going to watch. at least with the snow, my car will slide out more, causing less damage. my legacy is my only means of transportation, and with the RX-7 in the shop and off the road, to have the daily driver down, would leave me in quite the predicament.
i will be there either way. i have to go see my mechanic (and my RX-7) in connecticut, so i was going to do that after the event. i also have a Subaru Holiday Party at 4:00 that day, so im going to have to jet from the garage to that, so im not going to be able to ride with you. If you were talking about cruising down together, that wont be a problem. i pass Stafford Springs everytime i go to Jesse's house, so i know exactly how to get there (if you go on your own, it's pretty simple as well- right off 84 onto RT 190 towards Stafford :15 minutes or so:, left around rotary in center of town, immediate right following 190, and immediate left down side road leading to track; there are signs all around.)
the event is on Saturday the 27th, not the Sunday the 28th. as far as time, im not sure. im going to get there for 9:00am (if there isnt snow on the ground) and 7:00am if there's snow on the ground and i am racing. i dont mean to sound like your parents, but bring warm clothes and food. Thankfully we wont be baking under the open sky like we do at Ft. Devens, the only downfall is the New England Winter (hopefully there will be snow to give the full, proper effect )
shoot me a PM and we can work the details out if you want to meet somewhere and cruise down together. i live right off the Mass Pike on Route 20, and right off 84 to get the the track, so finding a convenient location wont be a problem. are you racing the 300zx? if so, it could get interesting worth a shot either way. i've seen FC's make successful careers being rallycross cars, so i imagine a z should fare just as well.

here's the registration form for print out
http://ner.org/rally/rx/07/07staffordentry.pdf
NOTE: RallyCrosses cost $50 for SCCA members and $60 for non-members (and $70 for post 1/22 entrants.) i figured it would've cost roughly the same price as Autocrossing, due to the same 'set up,' but rallycrossing does require a whole new set up as far as properly preparing courses for a full day of racing (and they include a lunch in the entrance fee.) ive been spending a lot of money setting my legacy up for a night rally in february (fog lights, custom fog light mount, tire chains, entrance, harness installation, etc.) so i think im going to forgo entering this event. i will still be there with camera (and cofee) in hand to watch the event.
here's what the 2007 RallyCross event Calendar looks like:
-Jan 27: Engraving Awards & Gifts RallyX
-March 25: Slip-n-Slide RallyX
-June 24: Big Lap RallyX
-August 26: RAL
-October 13-14: Union RallyX
-November 4: Covered Bridge RallyX
-December 1: Wolf Chase RallyX
(and if anyone else besides me, shaun, and matt are interested
The 2007 RoadRally Event Calendar
-Feb 10: Winter Challenge Rally
-March 24: Frost Heaves Rally
-April 1: Cape Cod Old Timer's Rally
-June 23: Big Lap
-August 4: Hurdle 2007 - 10th Anniversary
-November 3: 41st VT Sports Car Covered Bridge Rall

mike- yea its all about having fun. if you're not having fun, whats the point, right? ill be there with a car full of other rally enthusiasts, but we wont be there until later on in the day (10:00-11:00am)
i think all you will need is a helmet. spare parts and tools are always a plus (as im sure you know from the autocrossing ) and you should be all set. if i find out any info, ill post it up for ya. good luck preppin the Z for the race. ill see you out there.

So it sounds to me that if theres no snow its just a parking lot unless its a dirt parking lot than it sounds like autoX
What do you think?
