I had mine out of storage for about three weeks, but it needed a brake bleed and a new battery in order to be roadworthy. I did the brake bleed last week, but had to wait for the Optima Redtop I special ordered to come in. It came in yesterday, I installed it today, and I drove the RX-7 to work today instead of my Mazdaspeed3. She's running like a pissed-off-sounding top!

Andy keep us posted for when those Lowe's meets start. Maxine just turned 90k on the way to work today! And she is running mint! A couple noises from the new suspension but nothing major. Rotaries love this cool air.

Yea the works. Just got done painting two of em black. Need some more paint/primer to get the others done. I would have powder coated them but both ovens I have are too small and I didnt feel like makin something to do it. The paint is actually lookin pretty good and seems to stick really well. I'll get some pictures up once im done and they are on the car

Funny you bring up the gtr. I was watching last years race and the orange factory back gtr with this world class driver lost in over all time to a 50 year old BMW with 200hp. It's the main reason I set my mind on trying to get in the race. That and the movie love the beast from Eric bana. It's a movie about his love for his first car and what happen the last time he raced It in the tazmani targa. He crashed lol.
I'm not going to go nuts with the car disc breaks in the rear up graded rotors in the front stripping it out . Custom steel rims and I mite make it little wider to cover the tires. The only major thing I'm doing is a new k member from respeed . I'll probly port the motor. If I had the cash I'd go p port. If any one wants to help out in and way spare parts etc hands or just to chill when I'm working on the car let me know. Gen knows the size of my yard and one down for a BBQ . I figure we bring one plate each and stuff or I'll pay for a pig and I'll smoke it.

What I really need help with is the rule book and how to get a race car driving Id card.

Im trying to get my passport and. Save so I can go see the race this year. I was looking at the entrence fees and they didn't seem to high a few grand . But I know I was looking at the classic entry with out a rally compture ect not even sure if I was looking at the full price now lol. I figure I'll try to get my car done for next year and if it's to much I'll just save. Worse case I have a car I can race auto and rally cross . Drive as a daily and have fun in.

I really wanna get into racing, but its so much money that I dont have. I'm goin to look at an 04 sti this saturday

So I went to tire warehouse to get my tires put on the new wheels. This was about a week ago. Within 30 minutes there was a problem but it wasnt a very big one. The valve stems were not long enough and the way the wheel is it would be impossible to get air into them, so they put the old wheels back on the car and went to go get some valve extenders at napa.

After being there for about an hour they get two tires on, and one of them was leaking like crazy. The seal between the outer two pieces had a leak somewhere. I inspected the seals before I went there and they seemed fine, and there is no reason for them to leak since they have never been apart. So now they have to put the tires back on the old wheels and the kid that put them on got pissed and decided to leave. I was at this place for a good three hours total and ended up wasting 95 bucks, since the boss left earlier and I was so pissed I just wanted to get home.

When I got home I looked at the wheel that was leaking really bad and there was a slice in the seal that looked like it was from a pry bar . No wonder the kid left, I'm assuming he used a pry bar since low profiles are somewhat of a bitch. I really wish I had a tire machine, anyone know of a place that really knows what they're doing?
