Man, I been dying to go to one of this meet. My car was to be done months ago if it weren't f*cking Max at autoelite f*cked me out of my rebuild money. I got some one line up though. I'll attend the spring meet when ever that is.

For Ben:
The ultimate 12A engine was the turbocharged and fuel injected engine used in the Japan-spec HB series Cosmo, Luce, and SA series RX-7. In 1982 a 12A turbo powered Cosmo coupe was officially the fastest production car in Japan. It featured "semi-direct injection" into both rotors at once, a technique that was much more successful than it would appear. A passive knock sensor was used to eliminate detonation, and later models featured a specially-designed "impact turbo" which was tweaked for the unique exhaust signature of the Wankel engine. The engine continued until 1989 in the HB Cosmo series but by that stage it had grown a reputation as a thirsty engine.
Output was 165 hp (123 kW) at 6000 rpm and 186 Nm (137 ft·lbf) at 4000 rpm.
Applications:
* 1982–1989 Mazda Cosmo
* 1982–1985 Mazda Luce
* 1984–1985 Mazda RX-7
Do your research homie.

Hello Guys,
I am new to RX7 and would like to attend a meet. I have an FD and was looking into getting a standalone. Is it good idea to get a used Micotech from the sale forum. What emission items can't I remove to run the Microtech?
Thanks

i honestly think your best off running a PFC rather than a microtech, but thats just me, most of the FD guys here run PFC on their car, its an easier system to use, and coupled with the commander its a great system for both monitoring and controlling the system.
Hey rick, if you had to guess, how much power do you think your putting down?
oh yeah, since my FD is nearing completetiong (FINALLY) i figured we need to throw together a mini meet so i can try to do the break in in one day. I figured id run to Winchendon and pick up Andy since he doesnt have his FC anymore, and then drive out to Brockton and we'll do a meet there, then drive andy home later and then back to my place, outta average out like... 300 miles or more? So whose down for a Brockton mini meet when my FD is done?

microtech's depend. i just offloaded mine and it was perfect. really, not much can go wrong unless they messed up all the maps by not knowing a thing about tuning or if they did a shitty wiring job. i would be most hesitant about the wiring since you cant see under the tape.
Andrew, i only know about microtech and i would completely recommend it. it's really user friendly and as long as you have the patience for the 30 page manual, it's pretty straight forward tune, you just have to get used to the formats is all.
