New to the forum, rotary engines, RX7's, Mazda's, etc.
I've worked on and built a couple cars now (Dodge and Subaru) and just recently purchased an RX7.
Have any of you had experience with Dana at Synaptic3 for tuning? Would you recommend anyone else?
Yes, I did look through the tuner thread and saw there were a few but I wanted to get some opinions from the locals.

While I'm here, I would like to offer (for a limited time) custom signatures. I'll start with the MA crew and if things go well I will offer it up to the NE section and then the entire forum.
I limit the height of the signatures to the MOST of 300pixels high but I try to stay under 200 because I really hate those annoyingly tall sigs that some people have. Please include images or links to images for me to use with any ideas as to what you want; include any text as well (year, make, model, mods, quotes, etc).
I do this for other forums I am on as well; the samples below are for a forum with the blue background.
If no one wants a sig done then I'm sorry for taking up space .... then again, I have to get my post count up somehow

MyBoyBlue- i had Dana, Aaron, and Ron from Synaptic3 do a lot of work on my car. they are stand up guys and i would vouch for their work. as for tuning, they didn't tune my car, but i spoke with him at long lengths in regards to him tuning my car's Power FC. He seems to have a lot of knowledge with tuning and has done it many times in the past.
welcome to the club. you have an awesome looking car there. you should post up some pictures. good lookin hood. you're on NASIOC too, right?

have a few sets of 13b-rew housings/blocks cheap if you pick up 2hr drive away from your local

Yes.
And I would recommend just sticking with the psi you currently have it at, but tuning it. Atleast you know the car runs and drives fine at 7psi. 14psi could unleash something bad.
I'm going to be at Dana's Midas in Hanover on Friday. Andy should come down and we should do all sorts of fun RX7 related things. Like talk about triangles.

do you trust them to tune your car. also does synaptic 3 have an awd dyno? if so how much for a tune. thnx
#3197
Synaptic3 doesn't have a dyno at all. if i remember correctly, they prefer street tuning and have another shop in the area that they go to use a dyno.
are you looking to get your Legacy tuned? AccessPort?

essentially yes. the best place to tune is on a track, where you can tune for exactly what you need. the safety with the lack of oncoming traffic helps too. street tuning is much more realistic then a dyno, but most tuners fine tune it and check the car out after a good tune on the streets after dyno tuning.
synaptic3 doesnt tune for big hp numbers either, but rather driveability; which to me makes perfect sense. if you are going there just to put down a high number on a dyno, id check somewhere else out. there are a lot of great shops in MA that can tune your subaru. synaptic3 will go out to a track with you and tune your car. im not too sure how much it costs, but it would be a great place to do it. especially lime rock with the long front straight and all the corners to test boost response.
