i was not saying you are a rich boy with daddys money. iam just saying i cant spend as much as i like. why my car has a dent and a crappy primer paint job. sorry if that state meant came off like that. . i make 15 a hour as a tig welder/bender/machinist. i am way under paid. i left my old job as a machinist because of 2 reason's. was not a safe work environment. i had to build all these fixtures to run a wood router on a metal lathe. i told her it would take me 3 week to finish. as soon as i did a test part she tried to make me start running a job with out the safety guards i was making. would you want a router bit spining within 5 inches of your **** while your stand on a milk crate lol i did think so. and i was just sick of know that 90% of the parts i made where for bomb weapons. now i make machines in the bio field and fuel cells ect.

any ways back to rx7's.
so you guys think ill be good with that t04b turbo.

who want to help rebuild my 12a ill cook food and buy beer.

You ran a 13.7 once. God was in the passenger seat that run. I run the same times methodically even with mechanical issues. Your car is not a 13 second car. It has the potential to be, but it's only as good as the driver. Run 13.7 or better on Friday and I'll pay for your gas and the NED entrance fee.

There is a difference between talking about what you want to do, doing it, and having somebody else do it because you arn't knowledgeable enough to do it yourself. I am the second one.

I could list off all the parts that I want until tommorow too. The only difference is that I also have the option of buying and installing them not just tommorow but at any time I deem appropriate.

I wasn't joking when I called "spray em" out. I was joking about the 10,000. September first.

On a side note:

I have the utmost respect for Ben. He drives a ratrod SA RX7 but that car is almost 90% his custom work. That is truly his car, no matter how slow/fast/bad at handling/good at handling/good at sucking you off while you drive/etc. it is, it's his car.

thank you(andrew? your the one giving me the finger right in the pics from the cape i suck at names.) and me turboing my 12a is not a pipe dream. its going to be done for next summer. i just dont know enough about turbos to go out and buy one with out input.

my car handles 100% better then stock. 1000% better then i got it. you wountbelive all the **** i found when i was replacing it with the re-speed stuff. then again if you put 4k in to a car you paid 1.5k it better be better. mind you i did all this work in the in the winter in a tent on wet dirt. putting aside 20-50 bucks a week. not to many people would do that lol.

my only problems with it now is some body work and new motor mounts. but like you said its a jap rat so i could care less about how it looks lol.

o yeah my plans for this winter, fix my rockers,
do a break job, install Brembo Front Rotors for 1979-1985 12A Rx7 yeah there a stock replacement but what ever i dont need big breaks.
turbo the ****** on the stock carb.
and paint my wheels red for the rat rod look. now i need to find me some nice white wall tires. or do you think i should keep them black wall.

if every thing goes right and i get the 100$ to4b my turbo setup should be under 1k thats with a inter cooler, hks bov, tial waste gate. custom made turbo mani.
1:1 rising rate fuel regulater and new fuel pump. turbo preping the cost will me putting me close to 1k.

Ben, try bnrturbos.com and look at the turbos in the 2nd gen rx7 section.

They all bolt up to the stock s4/s5 turbo manifold. The stage 4 runs 11 sec 1/4 miles. All you need to do is unbolt 4 bolts from manifold, 3 from downpipe, 1 hose clamp from intake side, 1 hose clamp from compressor side, 2 oil lines and 2 water lines. Takes 20 mins to get a stock fc to run 15.0 to 11.5. For under 1k? Sign me up.

Try to find some turbo fb guys and ask what manifolds they are using. Your car uses a header from the factory so I would imagine with a little welding you could get a s4/s5 manifold to mount up.

And for the love of God, you guys need to learn how to edit: You are spamming up this thread with your triple posts in a row.

@ Jeff: Just realized Sept 1st is a Monday, Aug 29 or Sept 5. Whichever is better for you, because I'll be done either or.

i was looking at bnr today lol. if i had a free TTII turbo id do that. and build my own mani read below why. but since i mite be able to get the turbo for 100$ i could do a turbo setup for much less.

sa/fb dont dont have a header well kinda its a huge cast iron part which weighed as much as a frozen turkey.i have a tublar racing beat header in stalled now tho lol.
to mount a TII turbo and mani to my 12a i would have to buy a 12a exhaust flange and a 13b flang. weld in 2 2.5 inch long tubes to make a spacer to mount it and move the turbo forwards towards the bumper because it would melt bushings in my steering rack. then i would have to machine a notch in my intake then weld it shut so the turbo would mount.

i can machine this my self and weld it but to me would be way more work when i could just make my own turbo mani/header.

man i wish that guy would pm about the turbo.

Izzy, my car is doing the same thing yours does now. Dies randomly, sputters at idle with that weird clutch rattling noise thing.

I think it's injectors, that's why the car feels fine on power.

You have 1600cc's anyways.
