I want to have more money to spend on bike racing, i'm getting my semi-pro upgrade and i want to be able to afford to travel to more races and not have to work quite as much (i'll have to spend alot more time riding). so i cant afford 19mpg of 93 octane.

not to be a pain warwick ben but .50BMG rounds are not 10$ at all. Just last year for Black Tip Armor Peircing rounds were $1.50 a round that was for the 300Grain rounds. Now the same rounds are $3.50 a round. then again you could go with cheaper ones that are regulare target rounds. which are still expensive but not as much.

I agree with Mel, I believe that psi on that turbo will put you near 300.

ben you do realize with a bigger turbo. more air is moved through the turbo into your engine than say a stock turbo. Which means you dont need as much PSI to make 300WHP. For example a stock turbo makes 200 hp at 10 psi. An aftermarket one at 6PSI may make 200hp but with less psi.

my motor is a stock 12a that make 100 hp at the fly wheel.
i know bigger the turbo will make more power at the same boost because it is moving more air just didnt know it would be moving that much you know.

iam really confused when it comes to turbo sizes ect. could you guys help me find link to places where i can buy the right turbo for my needs. i whish i could get a turbo for under 1k since iam so broke.

we got the biggist t3/t4 turbo you can get for my/buddys turbo ford 2.3L where hoping to be making well over 400hp with it. i forget the specs for that turbo but a pro drag team helped us get the turbo dirt cheap. my buddy works at WM and his bosses farther runs a twin turbo drag car. i forget what class i just know hes a pro driver and was able to get that turbo for 200$ for us.to bad he cant get me a turbo or help me pick a turbo for my 12a for street use.

ben for that money your really limited on what you can get. You have to figure out what your flange size is to make sure the aftermarket turbo will fit. If your looking for one under 1000$ you should start making a list of turbos that will fit then search eaby and craigs list.

o yeah i mite buy that used to4b for 100$ he just droped the price hope iam the frist one to pm him on it. now i need to find a rebuild kit. lol with my luck the rebuild kit will cost more.

with turbo charging a sa/fb 12a you have some problems i could use a custom made spacers with a TII or fd mani but it mite hit my frame rail and burn up my steering components. so i plan to make my own turbo mani. do you guys know how bad it will effect the turbo if i have longish runners going to it. kinda like this but not at a weird placement like this.

he made the mani for a rx2 and sold the rx2 befor that turbo install and used the same mani for a fb.

i know under 1000$ will limit the turbo options i have and will put me in the used market which i dont mind. iam not a stuck up rich boy that daddy pays for every thing. i do what i can offered.iam trying to keep my turbo setup under 2k. i plan on making a custom mani which is no big deal since i tig weld for a living and all ready had to mod a honda mani to fit the ford 2.3l. yes sadly were useing a mani ment for a honda on a ford insert sad face.

I BELIVE I TOLD YOU THAT.

MY CAR IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF THIS

2 SMALL TURBOS AT 10PSI 250HP
AFTERMARKET T04Z SINGLE TURBO AT 7PSI 350HP 3PSI LESS AND MAKING 100HP MORE WOW

AS YOU CAN SEE A BIGGER TURBO MOVES ALOT MORE AIR.

"should be fine if they know what their doing." what do you mean? i used that pic so you guys get a idea of what i meant. i plan to have the turbo in front /below the carb instead of the normal spot you fc/fd guys run. 2 reason no one makes a 12a turbo mani and fit meant problems. i plan to have the tubes the same length and collect 3 to 4 inches before the turbo so the wast gate will vent exhaust from both rotors or i mite make some thing like this but angle it farther fowards.
