Thanks man...

Also I know the base is pretty big, but I would like to live as close as possible, but in a nice area too, what city Im I looking for besides ST.Marys?

Around $900 for rent for me is fine, just as long as its furnished, long term, apartment is fine, townhouse is better, house is difficult hehe. I have been looking quite a bit and it looks like an apartment might be the end result for me for now. There are a few houses I could get, but furnishing it will be pretty hard.

Well, most of the apartments are not fully furnished around here from what I have looked at. I don't remember what city the base is at.

You can find super cheap furniture at one of the many thrift stores around the area, or you can go to the salvation army in Waldorf. They have alot of furniture, but most of it is 70's style furniture. If you need help moving furniture in, I have a pick up truck, I am sure I can help ya out. Just get me a case of Red Stripe and you will have a new friend.

Justin,
You may have a deal. Im actually waiting on a few apartment places, 1 said $1050 plus utilities and furniture, but for the first 6 months my pay is low, so thats a little steap. Plus my wife will be in Japan still so im on my own completly and no car so for 6 months money will be tight as *****...

The actual couch, tv etc... isnt the cost that bothers me. Its the Fridge, micro etc..... Plus I already told them I would like to go back to Japan so a bunch of appliances wont help me much.

I much rather pick up a house actually and leave the furniture in it and when and if I leave, rent it as a furnished house...

Hey, reminds me. My folks are getting rid of an older GE fridge later on next month. I also have a 25 inch Magnavox TV that you can have. It's not anything fancy, but it works perfectly fine. I don't know so much about the fridge, the thing is really old. It still keeps the beer and liquor ice cold.

Let me know by PM or email if ya need any help or any advice with anything at all about living in Southern MD.

Jason you will be happy to know there is a huge air cooled VW race/show/swap meet twice a year over in Manassas called "Bug Out" Justin and I went last summer to one.

Is your beetle staying in Japan or do you get to bring it?

Row-Tar-Eeeh----I will be in touch

Fd3BOOST---Im kind of stuck, it doesnt run. I need a car ASAP in the states. I thought about buying a nice OVAL in CALI and driving it to MD hehe, hoping to make it.. I thought about shipping is too, but since it doesnt run, it may cause a few minor problems.

Thats cool though, I didnt know about the race and show... I cant wait to leave Japan and see Americans everyday hehe!

JT- How much ya got to spend on a car? I know somebody that has a cherokee for sale. It's a nice one, box style, which is the good style. He does not want too much for it. I would buy it if I ever needed a car. It's got the classic 4.0L I-6. Same thing that is in my wrangler and dave's wrangler. Well, almost the same.

Yeah, the bug out in Manassas was fun as hell. Certainly was a new look into the Vdub scene, and they are much more creative than RX-7 guys.
