This popped up on CL yesterday, i think im gonna check it out.
This is a project car for someone with the time and money.
The car was in a very minor accident over five years ago and was in the process of being repainted. The painter never completed and the car has been sitting in shop storage since. Stock white was used and needs to be finished up in a few places.
Completely stock with the exception of a downpipe. The engine ran great prior to storage. Rear main oil seal was replaced during a clutch change, otherwise no known issues with the internals. Given the length of time the car has not been run, I am not willing to start it to get compression numbers.

Hey guys, I'll be driving down to Hanover, Maryland this Friday to break in my engine (400 miles round trip) from NYC, originally to visit my brother but he's out. If anyone wants to meet up for lunch (like 1pm arrival time) let me know! I'll be driving back after lunch.

didnt run when i got it. sat for 5 years waiting for a "friend of a friend" to do paint work on it.
i drained the gas, put 5gal in with a heavy premix. new battery and plugs, she fired right up!! gave it a good 5 min warm up (in this MD heat) and took it for a spin. kept it under 3500rpms as this is the first time in years she's mvoed on her own i wanted to take it easy. brakes are non-existant, hopefully they just need to be bleed. everything else seems to work! fired it up twice now and driven - not far eitehr time, but fires right up, idles well and drives fine. gonna do a few more maintenance things before i rev it higher and get into boost, probably an oil change too haha dont want it to keep pumping that 5 year old used oil into the engine. Interior is great, no cracks anywhere and the black leather seats arent torn anywhere, a few age cracks but it's 24 years old and only has 74k miles on it, for 10k (he was firm) im pretty pleased with it! i'll be honest, i bought it to flip... but im gonna keep it haha

So quick question, I'm new here, so do you need to own an RX-7 to be a part of the forums? I don't currently own an RX-7, but I LOVE them. Owning one is a literal dream of mine.

we have a rare opportunity to get all the FD factory colors in one gathering.... hunt valley horsepower cars and coffee this saturday...
to complete the set... we need an SSM or CYM... anyone on here that can fill that void and attend would be great...

You don't need to own an RX-7 to lurk here.
They are fairly fragile.
You might check with Mike Quinn at Unique Precision Rotary. Last I saw he had a lot of cars at his workshop, maybe he was fixing them up to sell.

As much as I would love to buy it off your hands (which I would love because the FD is my favorite of the RX-7s and I dream about owning one), I can't even make you an appropriate offer. Any offer I could make would still be disrespectfully low.

Hey guys just wanted to post that im in the process of moving and have a lot of s5 turbo 2 parts that i need gone. i really want to keep the parts local and not ship. im near Fredrick MD. If any one is interested in some good parts hit me up. i stripped my turbo 2 a year ago and have a complete drive train street ported engine, gas tank, rear hatch glass, racingbeat turbo exhaust, 4 pot calipers and more pm for a list and pictures, and really quick i dont have the tail lights or the hood those parts were long sold.
