You're not old until you smell old as I like to say
I drive my FC every day - about 100 miles - to work & back. The FL trip was fun

Us Maryland guys should set up a car meet at Autobahn speedway in Jessup MD. Chat and show off are rotarys cars then hit the karts after! I'm not really good at setting things up but I'm totally down!

A Maryland meet sounds good, but it needs to be worth it. The last "meet" I went to, a total of 2 RX7s showed up, and mine was one of them. Also, Jessup is a dirty place, I don't know that its a great place to park a bunch of cars that are cared about. I would suggest a meet in a nicer area, but I'd be down if the meet happened. Maybe the best thing to do is start a new thread for a Maryland meet, and allow people to chime in for the setup/time/place. That way, at least a few cars would actually show up. Just my opinion.

I've got a nice little driving/riding route that spans about 80 miles of backroads Southeast of Crofton (it can be broken into shorter loops) if you guys wanna meet up and cruise that one Saturday. My FD is still waiting to get back on the road (engine is sitting on a stand in front of the car), but I can bring the Miata or Aprilia to play "follow-the-leader"...

Back a year or so ago we tried to have the cruise stop by Autobahn Speedway and we were heavily dissapointed in the quality of the facility/racing and the wait time. You might have better luck going on a weekday. When we stopped by the wait was over 90 min (I think it was a Saturday). We watched for a bit and it seemed like it wasn't top tier racing going on. Saw a couple of people run full speed into barriers, and there was more rubbing then any respectable race-cart place I've been to. Also, the karts are electric so they can throttle you back, at will ...but after seeing their clientele, maybe it is warranted.

I'd choose AllsportGP any day over that place, though I know it is quite a drive for Marylanders.

I'm down for hopping over the Potomac to do something, but it really is date dependent due to a busy Summer schedule. Capitol Raceway was fun last time we went there. Levi, is the car going to be ready for fall cruise?

I concur. They seemed more geared towards soccer moms bringing in cartloads of early-mid teenagers who are willing to part with their cash in exchange for an afternoon of socializing. A friend of mine from Columbia, MD is actually in Italy right now with her boyfriend for a karting championship. I'll talk to them to see where the best spot in the local area is.

HIGHLY doubtful... I could theoretically have the engine in by the end of next weekend (just need to finish swapping the front body harness, then assemble my engine hoist and drop the keg in), but I still would need exhaust fabrication, a wiring harness for my ECU (there are no off the shelf ones available), and all the associated wiring/tuning. Money is tight and that all costs extra I'm thinking that, realistically, my car won't get completed until I get my ongoing work issues sorted, and receive my three years of backpay as a lump sum.

Sux dude, were you thinking of making the exhaust yourself? I might be able to bring a mig over and help squirt something together.

The best spot locally is Mid Atlantic grand prix... but it's pretty far (northern DE)

Oh goodness no!! I've never welded before and I don't think I'd want to pop my cherry trying to weldy-welder on my FD exhaust

I'm going to tow my car up to Brian (TitaniumTT) in CT and let him do all the work. He worked at Speed1 as the welder/fab/tuner/wiring guy for a little while. He's a personal buddy of mine and so OCD (CDO really, because alphabetical order ) about car stuff that I am fully confident everything will be completed to the highest standards, anything less would be unacceptable because it'd make him twitch until he fixed it!

yeah I'm very disappointed in Autobahn in Jessup.... I've been going up there ever week to prepare myself for the racing league autobahn offers. (New season starts in couple weeks) Ive managed to post in the top 12 fastest times of the week. I hit Autobahn Monday for 3 races (43$) and evertime my car wasn't fully charged. Poor management.... I am totally down for AllSportsGP, I've heard Great things about this place. Well my 1991 T2 is getting tuned this weekend by JPR so I'm ready to meet up with locals!

I remember us Marylanders would meet up at FuddRuckers in Columbia. Man that was so much fun and popular. Chat and had some burgers. Somebody needs to set up a meet or something. Make sure you spread it on Facebook..

Yeah, I'm down in/near Crofton. The closest I get to yours is when I go to Columbia about once a month to pick up brewing materials from the Homebrew Store there
