Maryland guys!
you should just go EFI That's actually the main reason I swapped my corolla... carbs are lame
For the new FC yes. I just bought a 87 hatch b/c there was a fire at my house in an outbuilding burning down the convertible and Subaru.
I am also am doing fully adjustable coilovers on the new car so my new car should be low.

they should be jealous... that and we dont get raped with huge fines for 10mph over.
.. PGC and Baltimore! yeaaa son
tru dat. Dam commonwealth. Plus VA hates the Military. If ur active duty you get RAPED more than once.
Well *** hole means wallet. Raped means extra fines or fines where you shouldnt have gotten them. Have you gotten a ticket lately? Example of how fucked up VA is. Summer of 2009 I had just been recently transfered to MD. Before I came here I picked up a 2008 Ford mustang in Barstow, Ca. At that time CA was so dam poor that it was taking 3 months for them to process new registration. Most states give you that paper plate till you get ur metal plates. Not CA. They give you a small sticker and put it on the Windshield. Anyway I was heading down to York town to visit a friend of mine. I was on 17 somewhere and got pulled over because I had no plates. I told him and showed him the car was registed in CA and they do not give paper plates out and that they give out a lill piece of paper that says Temporary registration. Well the trooper was good about it but said if i got pulled over agian that i would get a summons to court. Now why the **** would that happen? lol Still havnt been able to figure it out.
Idont know maybe cuz i am lucky or what not but I havent been pulled over plus... eh i could always pull im a cop also card but i rarely need to. I am sure I will get pulled over in the 7 one of these days
I was considering coming to one of your meet-ups to see what the Md group is like, but I don't want to get ragged on bout how much Va traffic laws suck. It is true, a lot of them are effed up. But, I can still drive in Md if I want. You have to live there...
One other plus that Md has over Va is that in 2013 I wouldn't have to run emissions anymore on my Fd. In Va I have to wait till 2018.
Still not sure if that would make me want to move to Md, but it is tempting...

True that. Driving in MD sucks. That’s how I lost my mustang. Any ways, having no emissions is awesome. But in MD it has to be historic and because of that if you get pulled over and it’s not a weekend and ur not driving to or from a show you get a nice 280 dollar ticket you could register in Main and be done with it....Or be in the military and live in Oregon where there is no emissions or safety outside of Portland. Plus the on FB you wanna look at is Wes's. His is clean. Mine is, well running and driving. Thats about it. Nothing sweet or cool about mine lol

I have 3 historic vehicles and drive them all the time.
Here is the law:
Vehicles classified as historic certifies the vehicle will be maintained for use in exhibitions, club activities, parades, tours, occasional transportation and similar uses. The vehicle owner further certifies the vehicle will not be used for general daily transportation or primarily for the transportation of passengers or property on highways.
"occasional transportation" = translation, whenever you want.
When my subaru is broken I drive them everyday. and before I had my subaru and my corolla's engine was blown I daily drove my 7 on historics. I've gotten pulled over twice in my 7 and they didn't even mention my plates.
My 7 isn't my daily anyway so I'd easily be able to get away with it. But as Mike said, the Historic designation is so gray area that you'd rally have to get a hard *** cop to say anything about it. And even if he did, you could take it to court and get it thrown out easy because unless he stalked you he wouldn't have any evidence to prove it wasn't occasional use.
If I could register in Delaware somehow, I'd be happy. No front plate and they have that cool small black and white plate too

I didnt get a ticket. Almost did. I was in uniform so he only gave me a warning. Other wise it would have been like 500 bucks It was three violations. Driving historic vehicle, Modified exhaust, and no front plate. So I said F U Md and registered my car in Oregon. Now i can pretty much do what ever the hell i want
They can't legally give you a modified exhaust ticket either because the car does not have to pass a state inspection... They can't give you any kind of fix-it type ticket.
They legally can give you a plate ticket, but you can try to argue out of it, and if the cop doesn't know the law, he might believe you lol. I've heard of people getting away with that.
