Maryland guys!
All the AC vs Windows down test I saw were with trucks or suvs, and it was basically a toss up
An Rx7 should have considerably less initial drag so I would think the windows down would make a bigger difference
i.e. windows down worse then in the tests
I still go the window route, unless its 9999 degrees outside like today...

they did a test like that on mythbusters and came up with mixed results.
I drive my corolla to work everyday though, and can feel a noticeable difference when I turn my AC on, (I could probably use it to engine brake if I had to, it's that bad) so I'll stick with my windows down, or just the vents blowing.
good old 90hp carburarted corollas...

If I'm lucky enough to be in a vehicle with A/C that's fueled with my own money, then I'll use A/C on the highway on cruise and the windows in the City where I'm stuck in traffic.
i'll get my ac charged when it gets a lil cooler outside to do it when the sun is up.. might have to start leaving the house at 7am and meet the people at pepboys by 8.. so i have some A/C by 10.. :-D..
the window thing.. i say windows up alwys helps out.. if you have windows down.. might as well have the back window open too.. to help with air flow..

My A/C is on even if I have the windows down. I can't stand to sweat constantly, and if it costs me an extra $3 per week in extra gas so be it. I'd pay $100 a week extra if I needed to.

A/C will always be my choice, xept in the 'vert, obviously.
Too bad I dont own any vehicles with working AC.
well it looks like im getting a condo in columbia...not even 1/4 mile from the fudd's up there i go to see it monday after work.
in OTHER news. I have this crazy idea of starting an internet gaming center in olney where theres a MASSIVE tech void and an abundance of young people that have nothing to do other than hit the cheapo movies and idle at CalTor. I got lots of plans that i got jotted down and actually started doing research into it like finding equipment and even a place to put it. I'm gonna have to finalize a plan so i can go get a business loan. Anyone who's willing to help with some of the smaller stuff like creating a website or logo, hit me up. decided on calling the place "FRAGmental Gaming Lounge". gonna get some HDTV's with xbox360s and other consoles too. and dont forget the POWER food like Bawls and Redbull

I think the geek's willingness for social interaction out weighs the ability to put a face with a name when screaming obscenities.
If it were to work out for you, it couldn't JUST BE a gaming lounge, you'd need to run a practical buisness out at the same time... Like a store front for PC parts and installation, and maybe some on call computer support for residential/buisness customers.
thats what i was refering to when i called Olney a tech void. the ONLY tech store is a radioshack. nearest BB are 20 minutes away with CompUSA even farther. sell comp parts and do repairs. most money would be made on actual retail...not gaming time. I worked at a cybercafe when i was in tech school. they made so much off just the Drinks (Bawls) that it covered the operating costs. all the game time purchases were pure profit. This is the reason that i'm researching into all this stuff first. and like i said..theres no real hangout places here in olney other than the cheapo theaters and CalTor, give places to come and relax and duel it out with their friends.
also realize that this is OUTSIDE my normal job. would be a 2nd income that i would turn all profit back in on itself to get it stabilized off the bat. also help pay the debt of faster.

I'm not a big fan of most of the poeple that I know in the geek squad... and I'd rather have an unsecure server then letting them touch it...
agreed. most of the "geek squad" employees i've encountered are either malicious twits who really only want to see how far they can screw your computer/network up, OR they're brainless saps who barely know the difference between a mouse and a keyboard.
hey...i was one of those BB tech guys before they WERE geek squad. i quit after i realized they didnt have morals...and i cant stand stupid people in mass quantities.
and mike is right about me being more than capable. i helped lock down a gaming center and optimize their dual cable modem connections while i was in tech school. im a network engineer afterall (not some stupid booksmart doof who has their NT4 MCSE and a donut).
"Well thars yer problem. the WINS session stack crashed and took the domain controller service down with it"
"ummm....thats a toaster oven"
