Attention Jason:
Toll rates. You're looking at a Class T4 truck rate. Basically $20 each direction max (that's if it's the entire turnpike.

Anyone want 4-5 lbs of R22 refrigerant? It should be clean considering the compressor failure is electrical. If fact, if I put the capacitor back on the compressor properly, the whole outside unit should work. But it's a 15 year old Janitrol/Goodman unit, so I doubt anyone would want it.
The only catch is that it has to be vacuumed out of my old A/C unit. I can put it in the back of my truck though and bring it to a meet.
I'm lookin at you Doug. You're the only one I know of with a freon license.

Met a nice guy named Brad with an 88 Sliver Vert Friday in Bowie.
I was driving home, just left work, and passed him. He pulled in behind me, and we made the same turns up to a major road (Lanham Severn Rd) where I knew there was a Tastee Freeze, so I pulled in there and he followed. We talked for about 15 minutes. Fun to see another nearly identical car on the road! He's not on the forum though

Theres a difference in "Funny" where you find pleasure, and the funny where you think something is strange, yet amusing.
I was there, I was the one who tested his TPSs, and he was telling me he must have miswired his MegaSquirt, and I said "Nah, lets test the TPS"
Well, it was dead, so he said "It's OK! I have a spare!"
We tested it, and it was also dead :p
Not that I'm taking enjoyment from it, just that it's amusing :p

Of refrigerants, there are several variations:
R12 - Automotive, CFC based, No longer legal to manufacture
R22 - Residential/Commercial building cooling and food refrigeration. Still in use, slowly being phased out
R134a - Replaced R12 and R22 in smaller applications like refrigerators.
R502 - Cryogenics, Extremely low temp stuff.
R410a - Slowly replacing R22 in residential and commercial building cooling. Often called "Puron"
Those are the most common. A more complete list is here:

Hey you maryland heads. I have a S5 that I am parting out. Only thing sold so far is the idiot gauge cluster. I have alot for sale, so send me your requests and I will let you know if I have it and I will give you prices.
Front end was damaged, so there is no hood, fenders, front bumper, headlights, foglights, or FTP's. I am selling the motor, not determined a price yet because I don't know the compression of the motor. Oh yeah, fan shroud and the clutch fan was damaged also.
Just pm or email at rowtareh1@hotmail.com if you want anything.

Tofuball- I would do it cheap, but the motor has about 20k on it and it's a reman that was put in about 6 years ago. Compression should be good, just might be hard to turn it over. The motor is not blown. If it was, I would have never gotten the car. Car was wrecked, mileage is pretty low for the year. 77k original miles. I was going to put the motor into an S4 shell, but I have decided a house is more important right now.
