superchargers generally give you a flatter torque curve...

You COULD twin-charge.... put a supercharger on with a clutch that disengages once your turbo spins up, and get a huge turbo that spins up at like 5000 rpms....

I've seen a 4age with 400 hp and a flat torque curve that was twin-charged.

Remember, with twin charged systems, the supercharger helps the turbo spool!

Because it's cramming more air/fuel in, it is exhausting much more per given RPM, thus capable of driving an even larger turbo! Throw N2O into the mix and you can run a massive turbo on a tiny engine!

Meant to post this earlier, but I suggest you guys keep check on your cars for awhile...

ODJ's car was broken into last night, and he told me that the police said that his car was the third one for that street that weekend.... Didn't steal anything, but supposedly whoever's doing it was in search of tools...

http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=2395735

He lives practically up the street from us, just a few blocks away....

Anyone have a Purge Control Valve for an NA S5 FC?

It's the round black plastic thing with vacuum hoses going to the top and bottom and one goes to the oil filler neck. Turns out one of the nipples on the bottom of mine is broken and it's making a mess.

I would really like to replace it before the meet on the 22nd.

I'm pretty sure I have one for an S5 TII, they're probably the same. but I'm not sure when the next time I'm going to go home is. I'll let you know when I have it, or I might just bring it to the meet.

At the worst I can still drive to the meet with the broken one, it's probably been broken for months... I was wondering where all that oil was coming from. =)

But yeah.. if anyone has one they can bring to the meet, that would be great.

Yeah, the guy up the street with the suburban got broken into too...

I need to clear all the crap out of my cars...

hell, my rx7 might've been broken into, and I'd never even know it, I haven't taken the cover off of it in a couple weeks.

My car is a little anemic. I think I'm going to buy one of these powerbands:

Can someone help me adjust it? :p

AWESOME!

I was pretty sure I lent the lights out and then forgot to who, but the ratchet I'm pretty sure walked off. I watch that thing like a hawk whenever I know it's out.

The lights cost me $20 each, they werent that big a problem.

The ratchet was $80 :-p

So, $40 worth of stuff out of a total of $120, you can only have 1/3 a BBQ :-p

I'm going to _TRY_ to get out to Sudir's place to work on the van today at around 12, anyone want to join me?
