Most turbo people use it to avoid detonation at high boost.. I don't like the idea of using something that can run out like that to avoid killing the engine... what if the light breaks or the fuse for the light blows, you get on high-boost one day, and blam... your engine is toast because your windsheild washer fluid light didn't come on when it was supposed to... I for one wouldn't want to take the chance of my engine getting killed because of a stupid light... And I have seen these go bad...
Then even with the light, you're back to checking it all the time to make sure it's got fluid.
I might CONSIDER it if I had a guage for the wiper fluid... then if something's wrong you know it, because the gauge gets stuck on "E."

You know, I could say the same for the GAS TANK.
It's NOT that hard :p

Plus you don't understand how forgetful and absent minded I get
Anyway, my point is that for a turbo, I can understand using it the way you want to use it, but I don't like the idea of using it as a band-aid at high boost because in my opinion using it that way is asking for trouble.

Ha..
Checked out the MR2 today. Started it up, idled OK.. the battery was dying though, I thought OK no problem. He takes it around and doesn't shift out of first, doesn't rev over 4 I"m like OK, short go around, whatever. I get it and take it for my own test drive.. it WON'T go over 4 grand with the pedal depressed. I'm like.. wtf?
After driving it for like 10 minutes and the idle dying everytime I dropped it into neutral, I take it back. Friends tell me the exhaust looks like it's burning, it's flaming red. Smoke starts to come out of the engine slowly at first, but then a steady stream.. and you hear a crackle. Then another.
Apparently the best guess is some kind of bug family made its home in the exhaust, and either were rudely burned alive or their nest was.
Got the money back, probably buying the Corrola when I check it out tomorrow.
Differences from the picture I showed.. not much really. Obviously it needs a bit of a wash and the rust is very evident around the wheel wells, but you have to live with that I guess. Engine bay is kinda dirty, same with the trunk.
I'm pretty disappointed b/c it sounded like the car was clean, and if only the guy had driven it or kept it in a garage, it probably wouldn't have gotten in such bad shape.

Like that line outta Batman Begins...
Bruce Wayne: What do rich guys usually do?
Alfred: Drive fast in exotic cars, date movie stars, buy things that aren't for sale...
I wanna buy **** that's not for sale... Like the "Dave and Buster's" in White Flint Mall... I like the ceiling fans. The food left a bit to be desired though...

you sound like you're having as much car luck as i am
7 was broken into all my fancy pantsy guages were stolen and interior was mutilated
then i was run off the road in the GTI ... airbags wend off ... full 9 yards
**upside of both ... both are going to be better than before, new interior mockups on the 7 look great *if i could only find time to get to jasons and get my window**
and the GTI will be all ready to get my new turbo, new headgaskets and all the prep stuff, and a fancy pantsy LSD thats been sitting around forever

I think he was apprehended trying to cross into canada with caffeinated mountain dew and a case of pabst lager.
canadian mountain dew is decaffeinated as it is "fruit flavored" or "a clear beverage" .. whichever thoughtpath you prefer to follow
