yep...same supra. it died due to user error (aka my stupidity)
i did fully rebuild the engine in it...but what i forgot to do was flush the oil out as it had rebuild lube in it. so when the oil pump got it...it flowed like water and had NO lubrication to it at all. also leaked out after the bolt for the drainage hole in the pan used for the turbo fell OUT. so due to that it had 2PSI oil pressure (normal being about 40PSI at idle and up to 75PSI when actually DRIVING)....leading to it EATING the #5 connecting rod bearing and boring it out a bit. tried getting oversized bearings but that didnt help. so now im gonna just pout the turbo block into it which will help with the upgrades im gonna do to it anyway since the turbo block has better stuff like oil injectors in each cylinder (below the piston) and the oil passages for the turbo. also lower compression pistons (8.9:1 vs 9.1:1 for NA). also has a few extra sensors which will help the ECU when i go turbo.
so when its in..i'll prob be gimped from 200HP crank to prob 180-190ishHP crank. still enough to have it fully useable...just not expecting a lot of power for racing. getting it up to daily driver so i HAVE a car when i gt back cuz im losing the truck when i go away (brothers getting his license)

And gas is tax deductable cuz i own my own business..
