makeover for my baby
i finally decided that it was time for my baby to get a facelift. the car is a second owner 94 with up untill now original paint and no collision history.
problem is, that ive put sings and dents into her over the years while working on it and doing other stupid stuff.
after an 8 month deliberation, i decided on a body shop. maximum auto body in ronkonkima new york (long island) did the work and i am very pleased. the owner billy is a rotorhead with a sick fd show car and he and his guys treated my car as if it were thiers while it was there. this is how a paint job is supposed to be done.
ill finish raving about the quality of work and attention to detail later, i'm picking up the car in the morning so i thought i should go ahead and post some of the in progress pics i took.
here they go

i didnt have time to get pics of the last few days of prep, but the doors, hood, hatch were removed along with body glass to do a full, propper repaint. the only part of the car that didnt get paint was the interior floorpan and the engine bay. this winter the motor is getting pulled and bill will be spraying the bay as well before the 20B goes in.
the car is now a 2008 porche white named carerra white. its brighter than the fd chaste white and had a slight hint of blue to it.
finished pics should be up tomorow.
thanks for looking

yeah rob they primed the entire car twice after all the body work was done
sloasfk there was a small skin coat of bondo on the 2 quarters where i had some dents. all the metal work was done without putting any holes in the body and then a skin of filler was put on to smoothen it out. trust me when i tell you thier metal work was on point, before any bondo went on it was like the dents never happened
