LoL Maryland sucks,please read.

So I see that Mir is hosting another pinks show, but its the all out format.
I talked to Brian today from Eld and he told me why.The state of Maryland said the format that pinks was using is gambling and is not legal. So For it to come back to Maryland it had to be the all out format or nothing at all.
In my opinion this is getting out of hand. When they start clamping down a goddamn race. You are gambling if you put your car up in a race.
Maryland is the only state that has outlawed it.

Damn, that's crazy. The all out show is got money involved, when you win you get 500.00 and on your next run they ask how much do you want to put to beat the other guy. So WTF is that! Gambling! Just can have any fun anymore.

Do we have to do any registration for the all out show, or is it just show up on Friday and wait to make passes?

This kind of crap is why I'm planning to leave Maryland as soon as I retire. I want to get away from the epidemic of headupassitis in Annapolis.

Bacon. Ernie can correct me if im wrong, but from what he was telling me...you arnt even in the pool to be picked, unless you run 10.99 or better. So as we will have to, run quiet a bit of boost to get into the 10s. I assume your still on the t04 setup? I would say you MIGHT be able to click off a high 10 with 470wheel. Hopefully me and my friend with his fc will be around 520ish.

Yea, if I don’t swap up setups ill be in the higher of the class at best. I am a bit different in that the only factory interior is the dr seat; every other wiring harness, abs pump, and comfort stuff is gone, but that’s not that much weight.

Realistically I could just throw on a bigger turbo, since everything else can remain. it will be in paint in 3 weeks, once its done there it will be reassembly time, so if all goes as planned ( it never does) ill get some track time to get use to her, then see what shees running and what my turbo options are.

Also have a few ponies left in the tune, but the E6K may go byebye for a tec3 by then

I remember when XS advertised this at the "strip" turbo, boy seems so long ago now.

You may want to give the Haltech E11 a try. I've heard alot of good things about it. Even thought about switching myself. Ray likes it alot too.

well i'm not sure if yall noticed but DC, MD and VA are cracking down on the speeding and i think they are goin to try and cut back on speeding all together.. i think its a stupid move to shut down speeding at a race track. and yet wonder why people speed on the highway and clear streets..

I'll politely disagree in the case of MD. (I don't live in the other locations, so I won't speculate about them.) It appears to me that MD has decided that traffic fines are an alternative form of taxation. They want to keep that revenue stream flowing.

Consider this: If you haven't had a previous, recent speeding ticket, most judges will give you probation before judgement. For those of you not familiar with that terminology, it means that, if you don't get another ticket within one year, they erase the violation. IOW, you're re-set back to zero points.

It's possible that they are simply being nice and trying to keep people from getting screwed by their insurance companies. It's also possible that pigs will fly, and the sun will rise in the west. I believe that the goal is to keep you on the road, rather than suspended; and not too concerned about tickets, since your insurance rates haven't been jacked up; and ready to contribute some more money to the law enforcement establishment every 367 days.

Think of it as NOT killing the geese who are laying the golden traffic fines.

cut down on speeding at the race track??? wtf? almost all cops would prefer to see people speeding at the race track than the streets. some cities the cops will even take their squad cars to race people. I think theres a town in the Carolinas somewhere where the cops host a weekly race night where they bring out their custom dragsters that are painted up like cop cars with some even having the light bars. course when was the last time you saw a grand national squad car in the 6's?
