KDR (speed 1) New tuner experience?
Hey Dave got a new tuner at the shop and i was just wondering if anyone has experience with the new tuner yet? review/comments? I've had a relationship with Dave since 2007 So he is one of the only people i trust with my car so to have someone else tune besides him makes me feel a tad bit uncomfortable lol... just looking for some thoughts on the new tuner if you have any (This is not a thread to suggest me a tuner)

Yeah, and if you question his ability, just check out my build thread:https://www.rx7club.com/build-threads-292/twin-charged-fd-build-fraternal-twins-940240/page17/

Typically if a shop owner trusts someone enough to make them their "house tuner" its for a reason. Simple as that. If you trust dave, trust his choices. Or come over to where the real power is made

He can tune any ems. He has a motel on his car, installing haltech on his vert, tunes pfc's, and is tuning my TRC GT. I'm pretty sure he's tuned wolf and a few others before too.

He's still tuning also Dave loves dyno time its just better when you have more than 1 set of eyes/ears working together. With any luck my car will be done soon and ready to drive home.

yeah Dave definitely will take care of you. he is the only mechanic ive ever been to where ive offered to pay and he refused. i then had to force him to take money........
One thing i love about dave tuning the car is he always looks over everything before he starts tuning. its comforting he double checks and makes sure its running sound before he tunes. thats the biggest comfort for me and why id be worried about going to another shop with a great tuner. they might miss a small problem that dave catches with a blink of an eye.

T&R is closer to me and they look like they might know what they are doing but for some reason I feel as if I'm better off at speed1.. Honestly I just want the best tune for my car and the best work even if I gotta pay a bit extra and drive a bit further..

yup been to dave with my fc he pointed out a few things wrong with the car fixed wat little stuff he could, did a quick tune to get it running clean since i had to do other stuff before he could really tune it and he only charged me 100 bux i was happy, he spent about 3 hours with my car.

Just had mine tuned @ Speed 1 yesterday actually.
The way I look at it is even if Dave isn't the one that tunes your car directly, I trust his judgement to get a guy in there that does it right. Dave has a great reputation & I'm sure he isn't going to damage that by taking on some lacky that doesn't know his ****. I don't personally know TitaniumTT, but if Dave trusts him than I certainly can.

Brian is a great builder/tuner. I've bounced ideas to him several times over the last few years and put him in the small circle of people that I'd actually take their word on advice when it comes to our cars. He's totally dedicated, and possibly more OCD than myself (thats a big possibly) which I can appreciate. He's even crashed at my house in the past on his last epic road trip, you can feel good with him behind the keyboard or welder
