KDR Performance

I've heard of only good things about Dave. I even called him a few times for advice (at the time he never met me or knows anyone that can vouch for me). He was always willing to give me advice. He never once said come to the shop and we will take care of it for you...he simply went step by step to help me. My car is in KDR now because the other shop I went to couldn't correct my stalling problems=/ I'll see what Dave can do.
For all your wine conioseurs...BTW There is a great award winning vineyard (Blue Mountain) minutes from KDR. Their dessert ice wine is the best I've ever had!!!

I will also vouch for Dave & KDR. They did my engine rebuild and tuning and I've had no complaints with their work. Dave is a nice guy and a straight shooter. He has taken the time to answer all my questions and has treated me right. I will continue to go to him. I'm lucky that they are only a 40 min drive away!!!!

Just heard back from KDR. Dave found two problems with the car that I didn't ask him to check. I mentioned problems I was experiencing and he went up and beyond and check the whole car. Absolutely impressed with his honesty, his knowledge, his explanation of problems and the solutions needed. His pricing is not fair...it's dirt cheap. KDR is definitely worth the trip and not just for the back roads leading to the shop I will keep updating this thread as the car progresses.

+1 Dave is a great guy. I have been talking to him for a few weeks now, and just dropped my engine off yesterday. This guys know what he is talking about, does great work, and is very cheap. He will be putting in my turbo engine in my GSL-SE and tuning.
He is an easy drive from Philly, about 80 minutes. The road leading up to his shop is amazing too and a great place to test your suspension and your ability to feather your throttle out of the turns. Too bad I was driving my tow vehicle. Next time, I'll take the M3 just for the hell of carving the corners.
Did I mention he is dirt cheap? I have had tuning sessions at Rotary Performance. He is doing an engine swap, Micro tech and tuning for about what I paid only for tuning at RP (granted I am supplying all of the parts) or about the same price as my turbo rebuild at BNR.
Highly recommended!

Just got word back from Dave. He performed about an estimated $1500 (NYC prices) worth of repairs and maintenance. To my surprise my math was way off. Final bill is more than $1000 less!!!! Picking up the car tomorrow. Can't wait to test drive and see the worksmanship.
PS.. work included Compression test (105 both rotors), diagnosed a faulty oil monitoring pump, replace foul plugs (one of the problems he found), oil change, coolant flush, DP heat wrap, cut and weld new fittings to the turbo and reroute lines away from the heat, repair coolant leak on the turbo, repair meth wiring, fabricate and weld a dump pipe from the EWG and dyno tune. I didn't supply any parts. and I'm pretty sure I forgot a few more things. I'll update this weekend.

I agree with you 200%
I feel that way every time I go there. I feel bad for staying there and watching him work.......I am an airplane mechanic and I know what it's like to have the owner standing there watching your every move & some days it's just annoying, so that is why I feel bad doing it to him, but damn can you learn from him! He has always gone out of his way to take the time and help me out and answer my questions.
Hell I'd just push a broom around the shop all day to hang out and try to soak up his knowledge!
