Just took the family on vacation, need starter

Just spent a bunch of cash taking the family on Vacation. Came home hopped in the 7 turned the key and she cracked fine, then it started to slow down like the battery was going good bye. Tried again got the errrrrr sound from the starter, one more time errrr. Then nothing, but the lights going really dim trying to turn the starter. Checked the battery cable it was HOT and connected solidly. Well, ****. So I hooked up the battery charger figured I would try to hit it with a hammer and have someone turn the key at the same time. <-- really good honda trick there for those that dont know. That didnt work. pulled the starter out tested it to see what was happening. It functioned outa the car but, just didnt seem to have any real power when engaged. Oh yeah the engine turned freely checked that already. So I put it back in and tried again, the starter seems to have lost its torque to turn the engine. Yeah the battery is good, charged it for two days and had it on the charger when trying to start still nothing.

Guess the car was a little Jealous, she repaid we witha dead starter. So, anyone in the local area have a 83-85 12a starter around that there will to part with for really cheap?

Sounds like your going to need new Fender gaskets, its not worth the hassle scrap the car but sell me the engine & turbo lol

I can pull one from the junk yard by my house if you want, no garentees that it works, pm if your interested

I could have the starter rebuilt but its like 90 bux, repainted and everything
