Hey, nice meeting everyone today. I have to say it was a good turn out until the cops came. Vic you know how to throw a meet. Theres always an ******* in the bunch, well he was not even with us. I guess he was trying to run a power trip. Luckily most of the NY guys have there cars registered in other states, kinda works when they want to give tickets. The cops seemed to realy like you car, they where all up on it.
Looking foward to another meet, a great place to hold one. It was not a bad drive either, so all that talk about Jamacia was not called for.

Nice meeting those of you I met today, and seeing old friends I haven't seen in a while.
Pretty decent turn out, I'm still unsure of why the cops came, though...
Isn't the armory military, and police don't have any jurisdiction there? What's the deal with that? That's what Dwayne said when I spoke to him.
Enlighten me, please!
James

"personality conflict at the Armory"
Hey guys.
Let me explain what really happened today:
First of all.... I am a Sergeant First Class... which means... I am the senior Commissioned Officer in the building... I work for the federal government.
This ******* is a civilian...he works for the state.... he is the "super" of the building which means he cleans the facility, fixes things around and makes sure the boiler is working.
His beef with me is that I'm always on his case because of his incompetence.... in other words, I always complaining about his work ethics.
The reason why he complained was because I didn't give him the courtesy to inform him about my our meet.... he wanted a "memo" from the Army.... he began getting technical and bring up issues like safety and some of his delivery vehicles coming into the building.... that is why he called the cops..... the minute I spoke to the cops.... they realized that this ******* had wasted their time.
I let it slide this time.... but mark my words fellow rotary friends.... there will be another meet in December.... and next time, we will be able to enjoy our meet without interruptions.
My apologies to all for being such short meet.... and thank you all for showing up.
Vic

Yo brian theres a lot more man, its just that we have not networked together. A lot more people were suppose to show and like 5 more came after everyone left. But i stayed extra, i didnt want tto flip on them and then they think i flaked on em.
RotaryChick came thru, mazdaspeedfd3s, two guys from LI with a nice RX2 and a R100. Then i met up with NOC Jayy at T&R racing where most of the guys went after the meet was canceled due to cops.
The cops didnt have any power to remove us, but there were going to give tickets to the people that had expired emissions or registrations, they wanted to give Victor a ticket but i told em victor had the current registration and what not so taht was okay. I talked to the cop and made a deal that we would leave if he wouldnt harrass us since most of us have illegal modifications on these cars and who knows how many of us have warrants out for us lol.
But dont get discouraged it wasnt a problem with us using the military base it was a conflict between personnel.
Trust me people there was more cars that were supppose to show i had to call them up and tell them to turn back becuase i didnt want them to waste there time going over there. Bout 6 cars from upstate, and a few from queens, and **** but its all good.
Most of the brooklyn guys that came have rotaries but like all of us dont have there cars out on the roads due to winter projects and or low funds.
