Hey guys, I wrench a lot on cars and build my own engines and transmissions, but usually the American V8 piston variety. I am new to the rotaries and have a running, driving 87 NA RX7 that I picked up recently (towed it as non-running), and I have it on the road after doing some brake work and replacing the shifter and centering spring in the trans. The car has great compression and runs well but has some generally worn out body and trans bushings so it does drive clunky and have some vibes under power. If anyone is local (I am in southern Maryland and I commute to Alexandria VA) and would want to meet up and take a drive in my piece, and make any general observations if they notice anything wrong that should be addressed early on, I'd appreciate it.
Oh and I have my own tire mounting and balancing machines at my house, if anyone ever needs that type of work done, I do it on the side for friends. I am not a shop, I just bought the machines because with the number of cars I own, I am always swapping tires around on something, and I have had so many wheels damaged by shops that I couldn't take it anymore, so I bought my own machines.
Thanks
Steve H.
