Just once, this year. At the time I was working a second job as a campus cop for Johns Hopkins. As I was driving home, late at night, after the end of my shift, I went through a school zone. Two police cars pulled out behind me, then hit the lights.

I pulled over and watched the cop swagger up to the RXX-7. His walk and his body language shouted, "I got me some snot-nosed, spoiled, rich kid in his hot sportscar, and I'm gonna have me some fun, tonight!"

He stepped up and shined his flashlight in my eyes. Though I couldn't see a thing, from behind the glare I heard a disappointed, "oh". Instead of the young punk he expected to see, he found a grey-beard in a police uniform.

"Just get off shift?" he asked.

"Yep," I replied.

"Well, uh, that was a school zone back there. Watch out for it, next time. Have a good evening."

I may actually miss that job. <grin>

2 times once in my NA and once in my turbo 2. once for "speeding" but i was road racing with my buddy , and when we got stopped( i was in my t2) he was like 6 inches from my rear bumper. and we were clocked doing 65 in a 45 when actually we were up to 80 when we saw the first glipmse of the cop. she was nice though. she knew what we were doing and only gave us speeding. the second time i was comming home from work like midnight after working 2 jobs i was beat and i wanted to get home. i got pulled over for doing 51 in a 40 ( i was in my Na) and about .5 miles up it goes back up to 45. well i was just getting ready for the 45 mph zone ,.. when he got me .. the state cop was bored and saw a sports car so he nailed me . what was even more funny was that he saw that i was wearing racnig harnesses (my stock seat belts dont work ) and asked if i had anything under the hood (like nos, and other forms of hp goodness) i said no. and he asked why i had the racing harnesses. i told him that its because my seatbelts dont work . he told me to have my mechanic to check them out . then i informed him that i was a mechanic he said "oh,, well thanks for wearing your seatbelt ,, have a good night ",, what a *****.

and the other time i was in my truck ,,, my license palte lights were out and he pulled me over ,, and informed me that my license was suspeneded,, (long story about how paperwork at the DMV moves slower than a snail on a salt flat going against the wind with a parachute on) but i was less than 50 ft from my house.. go figuire ..

pulled over once this past summer for supposedly "running a red light"...and it had to be in front of a police station..

i was cruising on a 2 way street, kinda busy strip of road, mad stores on each side of the blocks and its a 25mph limit street and im doing about 28 whatever..i keep to a police station which is on the corner of some street with a light..im driving normal and i see the light turn yellow but i pass that yellow about .5 seconds after it does, im still doing about 28 so i know ill pass the entire intersection before it turns red but what do i see? a cop pulling out of his parked spot on the intersection and he follows me..im like great, i know that light didnt turn red, that yellow cant be that fast..but then im like, maybe he has somewhere to go...so im still driving normal, passing 1, then 2, then 3 blocks and we come to some traffic..the cop is still behind me btw..i make my signal to turn left cause i didnt want to wait cause there was traffic up ahead so i cut out of my spot and go left and the cop follows me..so im like great, maybe he wants to leave the traffic too? LOL

about 50 feet into the block, what do i hear? sirens and i see flashing lights..im like o mother!! i pull to the side (one way street) and he pulls right smack next to me.. i roll down my passenger window and he goes..

cop: you know you ran a red light right?
me: o im sorry, i didnt want to do a nose dive (doh) and it was just turning yellow..(i really didnt want to say it didnt turn red cause i dont want to argue with him and make things worse)
cop: cause its really disrespectful to run a red light, especially in front of a police station
me: i understand, im really sorry
cop: cause i can give you a ticket for that, your modified exhaust and your plate in your windshield, and god knows what else..
me: i understand i understand (but LOL and that last statement in my head)
cop: alright, good day
me: PHEWWW!!

i was literally pissing in my pants, i have never been pulled over by a cop before, i been driving for over 5 years, never had tickets, no points, never had any accidents before..this was a whole new experience LOL

I got pulled over twice in my black FD...once for 54 in a 35 and then once like 6 weeks later for doing 74 in a 35! Both times the cops let me off with a "failure to obey a traffic device" ticket that carries no points and is only $100. It was pure luck. That second time, I was really hitting it for 3 miles on my favorite back road, shooting flames and even drifting around a 90 degree turn (first time hehehe) and turns out it was an undercover car that was behind me for the entire 3 miles! I felt like crawling under a rock and dying. But the cop was really cool and he was a car enthusiast, and he said, "I feel sorry that I even have to give you this ticket, your car is really amazing and you're a good driver." I was just speechless, I can't believe I could have possibly gotten away with that.

2000 and before: Three BS tickets for doing ten over.
- First I pointed out a spot to my friend and said "Cops hide there" then drove past it to watch a cop pull out and come after me (I thought the speed limit was higher)
- Second ticket I got for doing 10 over past a cop car. Didnt know the speed limit on a three lane road with a median an no turn-ons was 30. Cop actually told my girlfriend "Why are you dating this ****? He is going to ruin your life"
- Third ticket was for going 40 in a 30 up to a highway onramp.
2001: None
2002: None
2003: None
2004: Once in VA for doing 80 in a 65 down rt81 (BS Ticket "Son, you should know that a light car like that will hydroplane if you try hitting the breaks on this wet pavement"(I kept my mouth SHUT))
2005: I havent been pulled over once! :O

This year? Zero, considering it's 2005 Hopefully that won't change tonight! haha

Lets see what I got:
1) 81 in a 55 on I-66 Eastbound, by the cops who sit near the Monument St. exit (I was 16 or something, first ticket I ever got). Ticket reduced to a 74 in a 55, then ditched my VA license.
2) Now on my PA license, I sported a BEAUTIFUL 92 in a 65 in an attempt to set a record: making it from Penn State to Philly in 2 hours FLAT (200 mile trip LOL). I got pulled over an hour into the drive at the 100 mile marker on I-76 Went back to VA the following weekend, threw my PA license @ 'em and got my VA license back, which was now clear of the previous charge (the charges didn't transfer between VA and PA)
3) 88 in a 65 in MD, on Rt 70, ticket dismissed
4) 88 in a 65, in MD, on I-95 South, ticket dismissed pending probation for a year (this was over 2 years ago)
5) HOV Violation (gay), ticket dismissed
6) Improper lane change on Rt. 28 in Manassas by Fairfax County Po-po during a "traffic enforcement" event (where they have two officers in the street pulling over the cars, and two officers in the cruisers writing tickets lol. Ticket dismissed
7) Pulled over for "speeding" with no proof by Officer on the Toll Road, on my way back home late one night. Also had no front tags. Saw him coming up to pace me, kept changing my speed. Officer let me go What a fine gentleman lol
8) Defective equipment, right near Tysons Corner (Fairfax County Po-po), ticket dismissed
9) Same stop as #8, but gave me a "No inspection sticker" ticket too (I had just bought my FB). Ticket dismissed
10) 81 in a 55 on I-467 North, on my way to Rotorfest. Reduced to 60 in a 55, which is a no-point violation in PA.
11) Improper turn in DC. Cop was off duty, took my apology and let me go.
12) Got pulled over for looking/staring at a (Fairfax County) cop LOL (I was driving the FD, go figure). He couldn't find anything to justify the stop except no front tags, which I paid and went on my way.
13) Talking on cell phone while driving (illegal in DC, go figure). Ticket pending...
14) 85 in a 55, on I-66 East, in Arlington County. Charged with Reckless Driving, possible license suspension & jailtime. Ticket pending...

I'm praying there won't be a 15th time, being that it's getting pretty annoying LOL.

This is pretty much a compelete list from when I started driving 8 or so years ago. But, as it seems, I'm competing w/ Bob for the top spot, seeing that incidents #7 - 14 are all within 2004.

04: one time - for going 20mph over in 55 zone outside (and leaving) Williamsport PA. Cop reduced it when I appeared in court.

First ticket, in my g/f's eclipse. Weird - I drive her car really carefully.

1.)155 in a 55 Got a 70 dollar ticket since cop didnt get me on radar, since radar guns here in MD dont go above 100. So i got a ticket for "Speed within reason for highway" on rt24 at 12:30 AM. The cop called 2 cop buddies that had flashlights out looking at my fd while the other cop wrote me a ticket. Got it down to 50$ probation for 1 year and some safe driving cource. If he had radar i probably would have lost my license and had my car inpounded since im only 17 :/

I was pulled over and given a citation in the TR6 for expired inspection. Other than that I haven't been pulled in around 3 years, and I hope to keep it that way.

LOL! I know, right? Ironically, my tickets in the FD were all BS tickets (talking on the cellphone in DC, improper lane change, and no front tags lol). All the rest are really my fault, since I travel a lot, and I'm not patient enough to sit there doing 65 for 200some miles, esp. at night. The road's so empty, the drive's so long, I'm so impatient lol, and I end up getting caught bookin it, all alone on the highway, at like 2 am lol (which is to be expected). I'm just thankful there's almost ALWAYS a way out, be it to get the ticket dismissed or reducing it. You should see the defenses I've put on...classic I tell ya. The judges just stare at me, or ask "Son, are you in law school or something?" LOL

But seriously tho, I'm trying to tone it down. Everything just seems so freakin slow at 70 lol. Not to mention, I'm always late to wherever I'm going, which certainly doesn't help me in obeying the law I know it's a self-control issue, and maybe it's my age, maybe it's my head, but I'm trying. The good news is my driving record only has 4 violations on it: failure to display both tags (cuz I just paid it...no points), the PA ticket which is "speeding generally" cuz it was reduced to 5 over, the dumb HOV violation, and an old 15 - 19 miles over speeding ticket (can't account for it lol)

turbodrx7, not to sound like a total ***, but I was thinking what Dave wrote. Sure, I have a nice long list, but mostly small and still negotiable stuff. Doing 100+ on ANY road is BEGGING for a ticket. Heck, if I saw a cop coming for me at 100+, I ain't stoppin until I had to, cuz either way at that point, I'm going to jail. And I couldn't complain about it either. That's way beyond pushing your luck IMO. I'm hoping you were just doing a quick run, not actually DRIVING at that speed???

How much more controled are you gonna get on the streets? I was on a Main 2 lane highway(i guess you could call it) at 12:30 am on the straightest, flatest part of the road. Didnt see a single car on the road. So its a whole lot better than trying to do it down Main street at 5:30 in the afternoon. Yes it was pretty stupid but atleast i did it in a controled place.

Controlled, not quite. Ever seen a deer? Pedestrian? Junk in the road? Tire failure? They don't happen regularly, but they happen. There isn't much traffic, but some weird **** happens late at night.

That is seriously stupid.

Summit Point isn't that far away.

Ok, i admit it was pretty stupid. So go ahead and tell all these nice people on here how your perfect in your FD....You never go over the speed limit. Right.... It was a fluke that i got caught. Deer, i doubt it, no woods....Pedestrian? Who walks on a Main highway at 12:30 A.M. In the middle of the road. Junk on the road Mabye, But alot of cars are on that road during the day. so most of it is blown off. Tire failure...Yes but everytime you drive you take a chance of that. There was no a SINGLE car on the road. Summit point at 12:30 am?
