Help with transmission removal...
Ok, so I'm in upstate NY (Binghamton exactly), and am wondering if anyone might be able to make a trip out on Sunday to help me remove the tranny from my FD. I've recently broken my clutch fork, and have never had the tranny out of this car before. I've replaced transmissions before, but never in my FD. To be honest, the whole wedge collar separation has me a bit worried, though I may be worrying over nothing.
Either way, I could really use a hand, and also need to find someone who has a transmission jack since I don't have one. I have a compressor, and should have the rest of the tools needed. I wouldn't be able to pay you a whole lot, as I've fallen on some harder times lately (will explain in person if you really care), but I'd be more than happy to supply beer/food of your choice and give you as much money as I can (at least to cover your gas).
The reason I'd need to do it Sunday is because I'm the best man in my brother's wedding on Saturday, so I'll be tied up all day Friday and Saturday. The following weekend I am scheduled to go down to KDR and dyno, which I've had this appointment for months. It's really bumming me out that I might miss the appointment since my clutch fork decided to go.
I am NOT asking for someone to come to my place and do the entire job for me. I'm a hands on type of learner, and have swapped a couple of transmissions on my own. I'd just feel more comfortable having someone who knows these cars show me how the transmission is supposed to come out of this car. I'll be there helping every step of the way, and want to know exactly how it comes out so that if something should happen again in the future I'll be able to do this myself.
If anyone is available and up for the challenge, I would MUCH appreciate it. I have some spare FD parts (not a ton, but some) that you'd be welcome to have should you need any (or all) of them. Please let me know, and thanks in advance!

No one's available, huh? Hmmm...It doesn't have to be Sunday. It could be some time during the week this upcoming week. I would even take the day off from work to work around your schedule. If anyone could offer help please let me know!
