LOL, thanks Cal, maybe I should send my kids to autocross school when they're old enough. Silly me, I was too busy with academic courses in high school to actually take driver's ed. What did those high school courses get me? It never lead to college degree that's for sure. And I didn't get my driver's license till I was 19 years old.
Wasn't there a meetup tonight?? Did anyone go? If I don't get another 7 right away, can I still attend as a former owner/current enthusiast ;-)? Hopefully it won't be too long before I get another one. I have NO IDEA why I'm stuck on 7's..... Maybe it's the engineer in me, I just think rotory engines are cool way to push a car.......

Well the "wheels are in motion"(would that be considered a pun?). I found a 94, < 10k on a street ported rebuilt engine, red with tan leather seats, rear spoiler, looks really great, FD. The seller and I have agreed on a price(that I feel is a pretty good bargain). Barring any issues with the bank, it looks like I might finally have a running 7!

Good deal Yoshi. I'll stop by sometime soon. I managed to spin the motor over last night at the shop, it seems fine. We'll find out in a few months how it runs. I'm still trying to figure out this ECU though. Looks like a Japanese aftermarket ECU, and I don't see anything in the US selling this one.

Well I'm supposed to close on my loan in the next couple of days. I'm going to be in Texas next week, so I thought I'd fly into Memphis instead of home and pic up the car. I was going to tow it home, but it looks like it'll be more fun and less expensive to go ahead and drive ito home. Lovintha7 and Jerry, you guys should stop by next Saturday to see the car(as long as everything goes well). This is my DREAM car! I can remember the first time I saw one. I was driving in Williamsburg when I an FD drove by me. I was like WTF was that!!!! Since then I've been hooked! And actually, I love all RX-7's, but this one is extra special to me.
