But I had a blast and got better and better each race . There were 2 other RX 7 's there also . These guys came from the beach and had a great time . The 1st guys had done a v8 swap and really caught the bug , he will be back . The other guys needs to have his liciense taken away . He had the worse lap time of the night . But what can I say , at lease he came out , I tip my had off to him for that . Anyways another great night at Langley , hope to see more of you next week .

Thanks for driving me back into the depressions of reality.....

It is only 4 kids and a wife. I am only paying for the oldest kid and the wife at the moment (this is the daughter that has a GSL that a few of you have met). Only 3 more to go after these..... The way things are going the #2 kid will not make it into any college. Kid #3 is the straight A student that wants to be a palentologist. Guess what... no VA colleges offer palentology as a major. Can you say out of state tuition??? She better get good grants and scholarships. Kid #4 is still wanting to go for horse rides whenever she can.

I do remember being the one that didn't want any kids.... How'd this happen???

I guess I will be rebuilding my first gen for several more years.....

I didn't want kids either, until we had our first one....... Then it became sorta addictive, lol. Nothing like a baby to turn a grown man into a babbling idiot.

BTW, Jerry Perez stopped by this morning with his RX-3. Pretty cool wagon. It's the first time I've seen one up close. He's even got the original floor mats.

I had to make a comment about your driving like a girl remark. I know a couple of you have met my mom. She has slowed down little, but hey, she is 66 years old now but still does pretty well at an autocross. This is her picture at her first SCCA race at Summit Point:

Anyone that ever saw my mom autocross knows she is an aggressive as hell driver. I have a pretty cool video clip of her making a run at a Pungo autocross.

Trust me when my kids say that "you drive like a grandmother" it is pretty good compliment. FWIW, Mom has about 300 first place trophies scattered around the house, garge, etc. I assure you that 99% of them involved beating men drivers, quite often lots of them. More often that I like to admit, I was one of them.....

Before I took out the engine(for the swap) EVERYTHING electrical in the car worked GREAT! The burgundy interior is IMMACULATE. If anyone needs anything from the taillights, doors, mufflers(brand new), interior, engine parts( the AC comp blew cold), brake calipers(4 piston), cassette player with equalizer or even the whole car( $400 ), let me know. No reasonable offer turned down. I also have these parts I bought for my swap:
New Banzai Racing TID: $100
New Mazdatrix TII to NA driveshaft: $200
White TII hood: $230
New Hand made shifter boot: $10
SS oil cooler lines, AN fittings: $70
All prices negotiable and do not include shipping.

Just thought I should post it local too.
Car is SOLD! The oil lines are spoken for. I've just got the TII parts left. LovinTha7, you'd might want to stop by sometime soon for that harness and coil pack. I'll ask the buyer if he's going to part any anything in the car, if he is you guys can ask him for parts. Now I'll go make an offer on the FD........

Anyone want a 12a header, SP 12a, and the new 2nd gen coil trick for the 1st gen?

Also, the brand new Carter fuel pump is for sale, along with an unused 1-4 psi Holley regulator. And anything else 12a specific.

I have recieved enought IM's today , I was kidding . The best thing was I actually beat a young lady last night by about 3 ft . She had a 2002 honda with a 2000CC motor with an upgraded turbo . After I barely beat her , she wanted a grudge match , so I agreed . She took control and wanted the inside lane , and wanted to race bumper to bumper ( I know I was stupid) , but the starter lined us up with me having a car lenght advantage . I ended up beating her by 2 car lenghts ,hahahahahahahahahahahhahaahhahahahaahahahahahhaah ahhahaahahahahahahahahaahhaahhhahahahahahahaahahah ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahaha haahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahah. She did not have much to say , imagine that ( a woman with nothing to say ) . Just kidding gals , this chick was for real , she road races locally .

I had a blast , and hope you guys can make it . It neveer hurts to smacka girl in the *** from time to time . HAHAHAHAAAHAAHAHAAHA

Ok Im out of her

Hey slow enough , let me know when you are ready ,I've something for you when you finally finish your project .

Ok, so this guy had an Ebay auction a couple of days ago. He's selling his FD with only 16k miles on it for $4900. It's in Cali. He was prescreening buyers. I sent him an email asking him if the price was correct. After a couple of hours the auction was taken down. Today I get an email from him saying that the price is correct, and it includes shipping. In his email he told me that he took the auction down because he had a buyer, but the person who wanted to buy the car won't return his email. So I gave him my name and number.... He wrote that he's in a bind and needs the money quick. Sounds like a scam........

Damn man, that sucks. Oh well, at least the one in TX is legit. Did the seller go for the Buy It Now?

Gambler, go for it. It isn't for a FI motor, just to let you know. You can have it for $15. I paid twice that for it.

I think you need to switch to the almighty 12a in that case Calvin.

I wonder how I'd do at the autox with the TII motor in the car....I'm sure I could turn it into a drift competition, but that's not a real auto sport. I'll stick to the fast way around the race track.

That's pretty cool about your mom Cal. I guess racing is in your blood. Did you get into autocross because of her? Did she give you alot of tips?

Lovintha7, can you let me know exactly what part(s) of that wiring harness you need? Maybe you should explain to Jerry yourself what you need.

Well it looks like everything is sold except for the TII hood and the TII to NA driveshaft. Any takers?

Yeah, her and dad were both autocrossers. She and Dad insisted that I go to an autocross school and perform to their sattisfaction before I could drive on the street. FWIW, that is something I have done with my daughter. She ran autocross schools and ran a few autocrosses before she drove on the street. I highly recommend this if you have kids nering driving age. One of the best ways to teach them proper driving attitudes.

Mom was going to come out Sunday to the autocross to run the Shelby, but she can't handle the heat all that well and with the weather forcast has decided not to go. She will go next time though unless there is another prediction of 110 degree heat indexes.
