Won't be able to make the meet coming up next weekend. I'll be in Nashville racing with American V8 Supercar Series. www.av8ss.com

Just to let everyone know I'm not dead. And the 7 is still kickin. Still waiting on the Sterling.

Upcomming events:

Wednesday April 13th
American Indoor Karting
Super Track night - this is the day they combine the two tracks into one. I will be there about 7:00 of anyone else wants to go.

Hampton Roads Mazda Rotary Car Club April Meetup
When:
Saturday, April 16, 2005 at 4:00 PM
Where:
Fountain Plaza Cafe
701 Town Center Dr Ste 102,
Newport News, VA 23606

Sunday April 17th
Tidewater Sports Car Club Autocross
ACU-4 Little Creek Amphibious Base, Virginia Beach
For information go to http://tidewatersportscarclub.com/
If you want to go to the event you must get on the "access list" to get on the base and on the site (even if you are military). Even if you only want to watch you need to be on the list. If you think you might want to go send an email to: chad@merritt.org with a subject "Add me to the access list" and give him your name. It is ok to be on the list and not show up, but you need to be on the list even to watch. You also have to do this sometime TODAY (Tuesday).... So if you are thinking about it, send a message NOW!!!!
It should be mentioned that ACU-4 is probably the best autocross site on the east coast. People have traveled from as far away as FL, AL, NJ, PA, etc to run in events here. If think you might be interested in an autocross, this is the place to see what it is all about.

I'll be there. The penninsula meets are MUCH easier for me to make. Hopefully we will have more than 4 cars this time (that is better sounding than it was because one guy owned 2 of them haha). Look forward to meeting some of Ya'll

I think I have only driven it once since we met the few weeks ago. Hasn't been great weather for it - too much rain or days with a chance of rain. I think I might have hit 5K one time? Does that count as pushing it? (some sarcasm there). Probably only the 4th or 5th time it has been that high since I bought the car in all honesty haha. Maybe I will get on it this Saturday once or twice?!?! You going to be there?

Wish I could make those meets, but I'll be busy working on the race car and preparing for the race this weekend. Sorry guys. I'll try to make one eventually, but this race season is putting a dampering on my mingling with the rotor heads. It's all good tho.

Just FYI, Sterling sent me an email today. He should be shipping out my carb either the 16th or the 18th. Cross your fingers.......

Anyone have a aluminum porting kit for an intake?

Phooka pointed out to me that the http://rx7.meetup.com site will start costing money. I don't mind money, but they are going to be charging what I think is an extreme amount. They want us to take up collections at the meets to pay for it. They will give us a "break" and only charge $9 per month for the rest of 2005, but after that they want to charge us $19 per month.

Let me know what you guys think about this. Here is the link to the information. Brian is our "organizer", but he either has left or is leaving the area.

We always have here, but the meetup does add something.... you tell me if you think it would be worth throwing a couple of bucks in a pot at each event....

I dunno exactly what it 'adds' that I couldn't program together in a day or two for something that does basically the same thing. I can host it also of course. I just wonder if it would be a worthwhile endeavor.

I'd throw Dale a few bonez before I paid to use meetup.com....It is a nice thing to have, instead of scrolling through about 5 pages worth of stuff in here.
