I saw you too, but by the time I realized it was another 7, you had already passed. I was hauling *** home, and in a daze. Long day.
BTW, you need to give me your sterling. Mine is taking forever and a day, and this Holley is kicking my *** with the newly raised gas prices. What fuel pump are you using?

I think for a road course type situation (like the back stretch at VIR) you'd definately want to change the pump.

No problem. It was sort of strange. Over the winter I expected turnout for events to be fairly small and thought it would get bigger once it warmed up a little. Well, pretty much we had about 20 people at each of the events over the winter and when it finally warms up a little we get a tiny turnout. I think it was just circumstances for this past weekend.
BTW is anyone going to the MazdaDrivers school at VIR this comming weekend (march 26-27). I had to cancel for some personal reasons, but I have heard they still have a few spots open. http://mazdadrivers.com/ for info. I am instructing at their event on June 18-19. I do not intend to miss that one.
I am also teaching at a local autocross school on Saturday April 2nd at Pungo. the school is already completely filled, but there is an autocross on that Sunday, April 3rd, at the same place. Go to http://www.odr-scca.org/ and click on "Solo2 On-line Registration" for more info.
Don't forget our next meet. It is at Jilliams at Waterside on April 2nd at 7:00PM. Jillians is a cool place if you have never been there.

Opinions wanted!!
Well it looks like I'll probably have to have my engine rebuilt or replaced. While looking around online I found a couple of TII engines for about $1000 - $2000 after shipping. Both engines come with all the major components including transmission. However the ECU is not included and one has a slightly beatup intercooler(that's the cooler on top of the engine, right?). Both are imported from Japan and have aprox. 45000 miles on them and come with some sort of warrenty(30 days or so). Given the price range, would it be worth buying one of these engines(I'd love to have a turbo engine) or would it make more sense economically to have my engine rebuilt(no idea how much that would cost, I'm not mechanically inclined enough to do it myself). Thanks for ANY input!!!!

No I don't mind you saying. She is much prettier than me that is for sure and for some reason doesn't mind that I have pissed away my money on cars. I don't guess you can ask for much more. She just died her hair back to her normal color about a month ago - before that she had a bunch of blond highlights. Did you have an email? I couldn't remember getting it and for some reason I seem to have lost that piece of paper I had.

Yuichor, you need to weigh it for yourself. Talk to people who have converted a NA to a Turbo and make sure you are up for that. Buying a rebuilt engine will cost you about $1200-2500 depending on who what where, etc. In this area I'd suggest checking out Rotary Performance in Manassas as far as a regular rebuilder. You must also give Will a call at Autodemics (547-9700) in Great Bridge. Those will give you ideas about professional rebuilds. As far as doing it yourself I get stuff from Atkins Rotary in the way of parts. http://atkinsrotary.com If you lost an apex seal you are almost surely will need a new rotor housing and possibly a side housing. That makes the cost of the rebuild go up. There are some pretty good local guys that can do rebuilds on the side. One last alternative (which is a good one if you intend to have rotary cars as a hobby for a long time) is to learn how to do it yourself. Start by getting a copy of the video about rebuilding the 13B from Atkins and other sources. Get someone who has done it to help you and buy a few tools and enjoy the project. To do this I might consider buying a used $400 engine that runs, install it, and leisurely rebuild the original engine as properly as you can possibly do it. That way you can spread the cost of the rebuild out some and still have the nice car to drive while you spend time doing everything. If course that does not give you room for the turbo upgrade.
Your mileage may vary.

There's quite a bit of info on doing the NA TII swap in the forums. After weighing the costs of a rebuild and the fact that I can get a TII engine at near rebuild price, I'm probably going to go witht the TII swap and then rebuild the original engine(yes, I'd like to have this as a long term hobby, I need to do something.....). I met a guy online last night that will sell me a TII engine, with ECU and wiring harness for $1.6k shipped. Called the wife this morning(she's in Vegas going to a wedding) and she gave me the thumbs up. I've got a few years of mech work under my belt and know a few good mechs, I pretty sure I can pull it off. Thanks again for your advice Calvin.

That sounds like it will be an enjoyable project then. The results of the TII engine should be worth it. I may consider transplanting a TII into a first gen sometime, but that is several projects down the line.
