Guess it didn't help that there was a couple of gallons left in the tank from before I left for Afghanistan.... Maybe there was some carbon buildup. I'm sure being away for six months last year didn't help either. I'll take her out later and rip some tread.

cbgosu, there's no real shop that I know of in the area. Most of us just work on our cars ourselves. But there are folks like Chris Rogers, Kenny, Jerry, and Rich that do ALOT of work on 7's.
If anybody needs work on fc/fds on the southside hit me up. Monty and quite a few of the other fc guys from the southside can vouch for me. Pretty sure everybody saw my T2 and my GXL.

There isn't any shop around here that I've found that I would trust to take my seven to. I only brought the GXL to the dealer once to have the seatbelt recall done.

i'm glad i found this thread. i've been looking for some local rotary heads for awhile. to introduce myself i go to odu and regularly drive a blue wolfsburg jetta- but anyway i recently got a black 87 tII, and over the last few weeks i've ordered 2 750cc's, racing beat turbo-back, rtek 1.7, a 255 walbro, and i'm the process of trying to port the waste gate/maybe do the fuel pump rewire. after that hopefully get everything back together again. great to meet you guys.. i hope to i'll be at some sort of meet soon.

gotta love the warmer days !
ever since it got warmer ive been doing a bunch of friends side projects. the one im working on now is a 85 mr2 with a jdm 20v silvertop .

those of you that know toyota's its a nice setup dropped the motor in for him and just finished another megasquirt board for this piston engine. i should be testing/tuning it in about 2 weeks from now . so my motor build is on a small hold till i get this alll worked out ..

BTW: is anyone able to get ahold of Calvin??? for the meetup website? hasnt been updated in 4 months? or did he retire from the rotary meets? any info ? would like to do more cruises being that the weather is nice again! and gives me a good reason to waste gas !

What's up my fellow 757ers?! Where are the meet and greets around here for the 7s? There is a great Miata club around here, but I've had little luck finding any 7 clubs. I've had great luck finding some fun roads to drive though...

I used to have great results from Hall Mazda for work on my Miata, are they not as good at working on rotary engines.
