Why not use a barrel, or better yet, a thick piece of plywood with a hole cut in the center. Lay the front plate face down over the hole and stack it up like a sandwich
I've found the engine stand adapters to be tipsy esp. when torquing the tension bolts.
Use crisco instead of hylomar to hold the o-rings in place. Works better and less clean up next time around.
Good luck!

I gotcha!!!!! I just thought it would be easier to manuaver the engine around and build it on a stand than having it laying around.

Hampton Roads Mazda Rotary Car Club December Meetup - Pool Night

Matt has checked out Breakaway Billiards for us. It is available and they have reservations for us. We went there last year about this time. It is a nice clean pool place, with lots of room, good food, drinks, plenty of well lit parking, etc. That is everything our group needs. I also made the get together a little later so you can finish all of the last weekend Christmas shopping.

Don't feel that you have to shoot pool to be there. Of course the business hopes that everyone plays pool, but if you don't, there are seats, tables, food, everything.

Anyway, this is our last chance to see everyone before the end of 2008. I hope everyone gets all of the rotary keychains, patches, and everything that your relatives don't understand why you want something like that?????

Date & time
Saturday, December 20, 2008 6:00 PM

For more info and to RSVP (requested, but not required) go to:

yah, well he kinda left the car to someone, left them the money to do the job and went on a deployment. I think like a month into it he got a email from his wife saying that a junk yard told her to come pick up her car because her name was on the registration and title with his. What happend was the guy went out of business and kept the money he was paid to rebuild the engine and then he sold the engine and tranny. And then he called a wrecker to take the car away. Closed down his shop and moved out my buddy Sued the guy and got i think 14K out of the sue and also got 7K from the insurance company. Hes about get a whole new setup, hes pretty excited about it.

Yeah, welcome to the group. Unfortunately in this area we have heard this sort of story lots of times with military guys getting deployed and one way or another returning to find things they left in safe keeping gone or destroyed. Anyway, you don't have to have an RX7 to come enjoy the cars with the rest of us. Anyone is welcome.

Thats awesome, you guys sound like a great group. Well my buddy Dave still has his rx7 its just sitting without a engine and tranny in it. I think he plans on getting a 20b for it... But i doubt he goes through with that part. Either way it should be up and going within a year.... He could probally tell you who the guy was that did it to him too.... Have any of yall ever done work with theese cars? Within the next few weeks or maybe this weekend i would like to rerun all my vacuum lines on this car. I already have the lines but i need some help.... So if anyone enjoys doing this stuff it would be awesome to have some one help and teach me to do it... Never been worried about other engines but this thing is a monster with all its lines, hoses, and what not..... Lookin forward to the meet.

If it don't work out with them check out Stock or Modified bodyworks. They fixed up my 87 t2 that got backed into the driver's door. Took a long time to get all the parts but it looks brand spanking new

screw that. In VA they have to let you take it to a body shop of your choice. They should send an estimator out and he will appraise the damage and then they mail you a check. You take it to the body shop of your choice and they fix it and anything else they will go after the insurance co.

So apparently my transmission needs to be overhauled, twins are leaking, and the engine is look like it needs a rebuild... The good news is I got a warranty when i got the car so it looks like the engine and transmission is going to be covered... Fingers crossed
