hey i'm new to this forum and i'm thinking about getting a rx-7 but i wanted to try sitting in one first being that the closest one for sale is about a hundred miles away. or maybe someone can give me any idea how much room it has. i'm 5'11 250lbs, athletic big man. i had a rsx and that car had plenty of room for me. i researched and compared the interior numbers and they are pretty close so i'm not to worry but i wondering if i can get an idea before i go making a trip to check one out. i understand if any of you guys have this big thing about someone being behind your wheel, but i'm just looking for a little advice really. and by the way i stay in york county and use to go to a few of the car places so i've probably seen some of you guy's cars
*previous owner switched to the base seats when his r1 seats wore thin though if it matters. back half of car is also torn up due to installing a new battery and battery tray, which i haven't done, so its just missing the middle of the car in terms of plastics and such.

Anybody want to buy that fd that I found? I’m thinking that I’m going to sell it and pay off part of my school loan, and do some more work on my turbo fc.
Good:
Touring
73000 miles
Good compression
Boosts good
Good body.
Mostly stock
new tires
Bad:
no 5th gear (no grinding like a bad synkro (sp), just nothing there)
Rear bumper is burnt
Needs some miner body work and paint (there is some plastic in the fender that needs to be ground out and done right, nothing major)
Dash is painted red
Pm or call me if you are interested, I’m not sure how much to ask for it, so I will consider offers.

I line close to ODU in Norfolk, and will be home on the evenings if you want to look at it
edit: see this thread for more info on the car

I have decided to ask $10,000 for the car, some might say that that is a bit high, but I’m gong on the fact that a roller can go for $5-6,000 and one in good shape for $15-20,000 so I’m shooting for the middle. If I don’t get that here I’m going to e-bay it.
I had several people ask for better pictures of the damage and of the inside, I will get that up on Sunday (I’m kind of busy this week), but I will say that the inside is good (except for the dash), with no missing pieces. And most people would not see the plastic in the fender if it were not chipped.
I am not considering trades.

Actually, I don't know enough about your car to comment on the price...

I Have what's left of an 85 gs sitting in my parents driveway in Chesapeake and I'm trying to finish parting it out. Here's what it has left:
-rebuilt and streetported 12a with less than 1000 miles on it. Chris Rogers in VA Beach built it a few years back, and it hasn't seen much action. I paid 1600 to have it rebuilt, and I'm willing to take drastically less than that now.
-GSL-SE suspension. The rear has new axle seals and bearings, pads, and resurfaced rotors. The fronts haven't had anything done to it yet, and sat outside at one point.
-Glass, dash, oil cooler, transmission, summit fuel cell are all available. Give me a call or PM me about anything. Make an offer!

Yeah, but everyone bitches about the price of FD's. That's why our cars haven't kept up in price as we'd like. There's alot of variables in the "market" value for a car. But if sellers are willing to sell for a lower price, then the perceived value goes down. If you're in no hurry to sell the car, pick a price that you think is fair and eventually someone will buy it. I'll check what's going on this weekend and I'll try to stop by.
