I have gotten things worked out I think for Long Shots. It is a pretty big place on Military Highway with about 15 or so pool tables, dart boards, etc. The guy that owns the pace has a pretty nice red FC, but unfortunately with a Chevy LS1 V8 in it. But it is a clean conversion and the car does look nice and is pretty quick. I will need a pretty accurate count of cars because he is going to cone us off a section of the parking lot in front of the building. I have not gotten a 100% confirmation on everything yet, but I expect to have it all worked out in the next day or two.
So if you have your own pool stick, or tournament quality darts, bring 'em. If not then they have pretty good food and of course typical beverages. Music and atmosphere is pretty good. I think you will like it.
The meet is on the 21st at 6:00. The location is on Military Highway in Chesapeake. It is not far from I-64, I will of course provide directions as soon as I get it all set.
This is their web site:

Those are NASCAR decorated limos that are avaialble for rent in the front page picture.

To get rid of cheap
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If anyone in the VA area or northern NC area are intrested I have a 12A with manual transmission I do not need. Pick up only real cheap if you catch my drift. I know this should probaly be in the for sale forum but I figured since they are going to be pick up and I would let the local guys know. I am in the Hampton, VA area. Engine worked before I took it out but I don't know how good the seals were and they are taking up valuable shed space. I don't need them since I did a V-8 Conversion.

Meet info:
Hampton Roads Mazda Rotary Car Club April Meetup
The time for the meet is 6:00 PM this month.
The meeting location is not 100% set. We are going to be guests. It should be a good time.
The meet this month is at Long Shots in Chesapeake. It is a great place with pool tables, dart boards, etc.
The owner is a car guy that happens to have a Chevy LS1 conversion FC RX7. He is going to cone off a section of the parking lot for us, so I need a pretty accurate count of cars that are going to be there.
They have open pool tournaments that start at 9:00 PM with a $100 to win pot, if anyone is a serious pool player.
RSVP if you are comming and let me know if you are bringing a car. I need a pretty accurate car count, so let me know.
When:
Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 6:00 PM
Where:
Long Shots Billiards and Darts
1125 S Military Hwy Chesapeake VA
Chesapeake, VA 23320

hope the meet was fun everyone. i made an attempt to get there.
My girlfriend and I were on our way, and hit dead stop traffic around bass pro shop. it was stop and go very slowly all the way through the tunnel. then we took the wrong exit, and ended up heading toward VA beach, so we got off to turn around and ended up going east again somehow, so finally i asked if my girlfriend just wanted to go to the beach since we were so close. we got down there, and she decided she wanted to go home before we even parked. so i drove around for 2.5 hours to end up nowhere haha.

Hey everyone, we had a pretty good time at the meet. FWIW it is only about 5 minutes longer to the Greenbrier area if you take Monitor Merrimac Tunnel, and with the usual summer weekend backup at the HRBT.... welllllll....... Guess which way I would always go.
Anyway the meet was pretty good, except that we didn't have many people there. Had a couple of new people and cars we had not seen.
I saw that Rich ran the NASA Rovalcross at Langley. How did it go? I heard the event was pretty good. I started my car to drive it there and found out the alternator was fried. My son had borrowed the car earlier in the week (without me knowing beforehand) and when he flooded it, he and his friends tried to jump start it and somehow killed the alternator. I found this out as I was leaving to go to the meet Saturday. So I came in the Expedition....

calvin, glad the meet went well. The dragon rally was great! There were about 75 to 100 7's and 8's. Some very nice ones, but no bridge ports or any thing to crazy with the motors. Bongs and rich's 3rd looked better then some out there, not to take way from them, but how well put together those cars are. Had to be some of thebest driving i have been able to get under my belt, and to do it with a crazy bike guy cutting the apex next to you, it doesnt get any better than that.
