my question: has anyone taken one of these off around here? do you have to socket? where did you get it from? any help would be greatly appriciated!!!!

I have that socket. I got from Sears and the damn thing cost me over $50 and I've used it only 5 times in 2 years. You can try Advance Auto. They have a loner tool program. They may have it. Also, Harbor Freight may have it. They would be the cheapest I think.

It is 54 MM I think, and english is 2-3/16 (I think on both of those), but I am pretty sure is is not 2-1/8. I need to look at my socket and see what it is.

Anyway, if I was going to spend $50 the Mazdatrix one is much better to use:

http://mazdatrix.com/toolmisc.htm

I think it is only $36, and works very well!!!!!
You need something to lock the flywheel and of course the best is their tool which is a long bar with holes drilled in it that hold it by the bolts or alignment pins. If you do these cars from time to time, they are worth getting.....

yeah i saw that. i was wondering if anyone had that piece too. i dont plan on changing my clutch or flywheel that often so i was wondering if anyone had one.

we measured it and it said it was 2 1/8". on mazdatrix it says it is 2 1/8".

hey guys , i guessed everyone noticed it rained tonight, so Langley was cancelled .

Hey Calvin have you ever looked into having a meet at Langley ??? Just wondering ???

Im sure for those who wanted to run the track and those who did not want to could have a picnic or cook out in the pits. Maybe we could even invite the Richmond club ,????

Just a thought . I have no idea what the track would cost ??? I looked into it awhile back but forgot the amount

its a sign!! i can boost a huge 5 psi.....haha.

FINALLY got my flange to fit my greedy BOV.... put it on and its an improvement ,from stock and yeah my stock bov was bad.....

experamented with a friends boost preasure sensor n318 and was boosting
4-5 psi ..??and swapped it to a non turbo preasure sensor .same thing boosting???? 3-4 psi lost some psi due to turbo issues. car responds quicker since the new bov ..

would a faultly bov be considered a vac leak ????????

now car smokes cause turbo is leaking oil no surprise there since it did that before.

mike call me back about that turbo rebuild hybrid you was talking about a while back i need more info on this ... to figure out what you need on the turbo that is good or not or this rebuild replaces EVERYTHING in it???? please call me back. thanks.

i have a lot to say since i work like every day!

Only a few silver FD's came with a red interior. If his is black, then the car got painted or the interior was redone.

I was beside someone in front of ODU yesterday with a silver FD wiht some sort of black aftermarket wheels... anyone know who that is?

I should be at the meet saturday with the shirts. Here is the list of who and what I have. There are some extras as well. Bring $$$'s Saturday (don't worry, I am not going to hound you if you don't have it).

http://numsum.com/spreadsheet/show_raw/28443

But they will be there and I hope to get rid of as many as possible.

Jake lives in a relatively rural place... Very cool location though.. Has a nice sized shop behind his house. He has a couple of acres he drives around through the weeds with his sorta offroad rally set up first gen RX7.

We should have a club event at his house, hanging out talking about RX7's....

here is his photo gallery...

you get the idea from those.

Thats the way we did it in the last club I was in. If a club member need major help, the club showed up with a grill, beer, and whatever else and made a day of it. Had a cook out and got to work on someone's ride. It always worked out nice. Something to thing about.
