Kenny, Get third gear sorted and the suspension installed yet? if so, watch out for Kenny!!
Kenny, Monte and Randy (though Randy wont be reading this), I got a hook up for the parts needed to build hybrids. It'll cost approx $200 a piece in parts. Let me know if you guys are in or not, I don't want to get stuck with a pile of parts I paid for if someone changes their minds.

Sorted out? pheft, I don't know. I think he's worried I'll wreck her before he gets to drive it lol
I'll place two orders for hybrid parts, you and Randy. If Monte wants me to build a hybrid, I'll order the parts after I get money from him as well (btw, this price INCLUDES parts for rebuilding and replacing all bushings, bearings, seals, new front cover, backplate, compressor wheel, dynamic seal, harware, etc.). I'm not 100% sure on the quality of the bearings, I'm pretty sure their Garrett replacements, if not, no biggy if i end up rebuilding these 20k miles later, true Garrett rebuilds are only $75 or less a pop and the other hard parts (comp wheel, housings etc) are not wear items and wont ever need replacing as long as you dont suck up dirt or other debris.
Good news so far, one of the quirks working at NASA is I hear that Langley Race Way has cars on it right now. I hear them lapping. And the radar shows nothing comming our way for the next at least 6 hours. I'm not sure how the weather guys call for a 80% chance of rain today?? Looks like we wont get anything till late tonight (I HOPE).
Calvin, will you be bringing the tee shirts tonight? Just send me an IM or let me know here your PayPal addy and total ($12.00 X3 right?).

Monte (SP?), I think your turbo2SE right? changed your avatar on me. Did you want to hybrid your turbo?
As for the radio, if you don't get a wire diagram, you'll have to use other methods to figure it out. Like a multi meter or at the very least a test light. I'm pretty sure your car is an s4, and the s4's had a stereo that was preamplified and each speaker (at least the ones in the dash) has its own seperate amplifyer. So you'll need to gut out the amps, then wire the leads directly to your speakers. Sorting the speaker wires is simple, just make sure you get the polarity correct or it will sound like **** (if you run a speaker out of phase, and one in phase, they'll councel one another out). You can check polarity by using a small 9 volt battery and placing it onthe speaker terminals. speaker cone moves up, polarity is correct, if it moves down, it bass ackwards. Don't hold the batt on the speaker for more then a second, you could melt the voice coil dependant on the speakers capacity. All's that left is finding constant power source, switched source (ignition switched) and ground (any damn piece of metal attached to the chassis if you can't find a wire).

Hampton Roads Mazda Rotary Car Club September Meet
Last event we started out at Awful Arthur's then went over to Jenro's. At Monty's suggestion we will start out at Jenro's and play it by ear from there. We will get there about 4:00 PM and whoever gets there first, try to save parking places for everyone else. That means it is important to RSVP so that we know how many places to save. So please try to RSVP and let us know if you are bringing a car.
When:
Saturday, September 16, 2006 at 4:00 PM
Where:
Jenro's Coffee House
1085 Independence Blvd Virginia Beach, VA
Virginia Beach, VA 23455
(757) 460-0444
Map to Jenro's
Notes:
If you have never been to Jenro's on a saturday night, you have been missing out. It is a big car show with typically maybe 200 cars every saturday night. It has attracted national attention for the regular turnout they get. Most of the cars are older domestic muscle cars, but our club had a nice presence last time we showed up.
Check out their web site for more information

Extreme Sports Wednesday at Langley Speedway
The races were rained out on 8/30, so we are going to try to go on 9/6 and 9/8. On 9/8 they are having a special Extreme sports night. Kenny is putting special effort into this one.
Some of our club members shoud be at the event this night racing. So we should all make an effort to go cheer them on. The racing starts at 7:00, the gates open at 5:30. It costs $8 to watch from the grandstands. If you are interested in racing your car the ehtry fee is $15. You can bring a small cooler, but no glass bottles. We usually get a pretty good group watching.
It looks like Rich, Kenny, Randy, Pete and some others are running on this day... Look for us just past the flag stand in the grand stands or RX7's running on the race track.
When:
Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at 7:00 PM
and again on Friday, September 8, 2006
Where:
Langley Speedway
3165 N Armistead Ave
Hampton, VA 23666
(757) 865-1100
Event fee:
USD8.00 per person
Notes:
We are getting a big crowd comming to this one. Everyone should show up!!!!!
Several guys should be racing and lots of others hanging out in the grandstands.

I should probably stop by your house so you can take the car around the block. Starts are still a bit screwy, but the performance is there.

They do set ups on Saturday. I am not sure what time, but look on the ODR forum of autocross.com and I am sure it is there somewhere, if not in the event coverage. Tentatively I should be there Sunday. Is this your going away event then Pete? They usually do not cancel for the rain, but I when the rain is really bad and there is much standing water in the course they sometimes do cancel..... but usually not.

Hey guys. I'm looking for a passenger side fender for an 85 if anyone has one! I'm looking for something in pretty good condition, no major dents.
Also, my brother is still trying to sell his s5 engine I believe. Very low mileage rebuilt motor.

I just found out that this Saturday at the autocross at Pungo the test-n-tune starts at 8:00AM. Just show up if you are interested. The course set up will supposedly start at 12:00 noon and if you do the T-n-T they hope you will stay to help set up the Sunday course.
check the above events for more info if you are interested....
