There are some guys working on a base model FC, building it into s GRM $2006 challenge car. They need RX7 connections. I have pointed them over here. Read what they are doing, what their plans are, etc, and if any of you want to help them with parts and/or advice let them know..

http://www.autocross.us/forums/index.php?showtopic=1771

they have pictures and a diary about the car so far here:

I was going to ask you the same thing. I stopped going after if got really cold, and I went out the other night to check all the spots and all I found were a few ricers in the wal-mart parking lot.

Hey, I just came across this stock car shop in NC. I have had some dealings with them before, but this is their address "155 Wankel Dr., Kannapolis, NC 28083" and it is not even a rotary shop...

I can help with the install since I done about 3 turbo cars in the last few months. Good old Autocross Pete can help wire the T2 computer in the NA.

LOL - so now I'm the wiring biznatch? Riiiight. Actually, I just went through my harness that mated the S5 ECU to the S4 chassis, and realized what a good job I had done Installing the MegaSquirt made me go through the harness again to check all of the signals - they were all spot-on! I just need to smooth out cold starts and tune more of the map.

I haven't done the NA to T2 mod, but I'm sure it can't be difficult. I'll warn you, though... I work for BEER =) Give me enough notice to schedule some time, and I'll lend a hand with the t2 swap.

I've got to put it all back together for the inspection due this month. It turns out my horn fell off - FELL OFF, omg - and I wondered why it didn't work. The rest of the car should be ready, though. It also needs a 'track worthy' paint job. I spoke with Dale, but haven't taken the car to his shop yet.

Oh... and I'm not just Autocross Pete anymore - 'Track ***** Pete' would be just as good 8)

I wanna be like you one day, you have impressed me a lot over the years, Mr "Track ***** Pete" and wiring biznatch. Beer? What kind and how many ? Maybe you can help me convert my 79 into fuel injection with your wiring genial wizardry???? Did I say that right?????

Yeah, I think I am gonna be buying Pete or someone lotsa beer of their choice here pretty soon. I have been collecting up the parts for an intake and exhaust upgrade. The weak link in the GSL-SE is the MAF meter which is small. The second gen is larger, but the wiring and electronics are apparently uncompatable (according to others). Also, both of the second gen intakes are supposedly better than the GSL-SE as well. That plus some minor porting to the new engine (yes I am going to replace my 250K mile smoker) should bring the car to life where on the race track I am not the slowest car on the straight. If that doesn't do it, then I am going to be talking to some of you guys about the T2 swaps..... I just am not going to live with my current slowness on the straights. I am good through the twisties, but it gets disappointing on the straights (only place we are allowed to pass in the HPDE world).
