You can still come and hang out one day or the other (whichever is not graduation day).

Well, I was having a problem with not having a place to stay so far Johnny, so I might take you up on that extra room, or couch or something. I was planning on bringing a tent and a sleeping bag so far and camping in the back of the truck maybe.

Oh and FWIW, Dale Blankenship who runs the Maaco on Pembroke Ave (I think) in Newport News just bought an 83 RX7. He is looking for a limited slip diff or complete rear for his car. If anyone has anything or knows of anything let me know, or go by or call the Maaco if you have something. Dale might take that into consideration if you also ask him about some body or paint work.

Yeah... the way I look at it is that the 18th is Father's day. So that is a day I can do what I want to do right??? So I want to be at the race track and if the kids want to see me they can come out there.

So Yoshi... you should be able to do what you want to do on your birthday, right? I know, it never works out that way for the "Dad" but it does for everyone else in the family.

Renagade, Just be a day late getting down to Kitty Hawk... A day at the race track is far better than the first day of a week of days of getting cooked in the sun at the beach....

FWIW, the next Mazda Drivers Association event I am going to is September 9-10. Mark your calendars now. That one is at Summit Point Raceway (the Shenandoah Circuit, which I happen to love, but other people have different opinions). Summit Point is very entrant friendly. I usually camp at the track as they have acceptable shower facilities, nice bathrooms, etc.

I will be to some track events over the summer, probably NASA events, but other than that, I am going to be limited to autocrosses.

We cant have a professional driver like yourself in the back of a truck. The room is yours. Im about 25 min. from the track.

Is anyone interested in going to the BBQ in MD on june 11? Im going and we could meet up in richmond.

Anyone looking for a first gen:

http://richmond.craigslist.org/car/163669226.html

I don't know the owner or the car, but it might turn out to be a bargain.

I'll get up with you, because that sounds like something I can't refuse.

Trust me, I used to travel to race tracks trying to get an available seat in a race car and I often camped in the back of a car or the floor of the trailer, etc. Back in the '70's racing was far less than glamorous.

Hello All,
It is hot as Hell in Florida!!!!!!!!I haver been here for a few days and it has pros and cons...
Looks like plans are changing for me and a permanent move down here is getting to be a reality.
I am probably going to take about a $900 pay cut initially from what I am making now but I will be with my family (Mom, Aunts and brothers and the wif'e family) but quality of life would probably be better.
Most likely I will have to cut down on inventory and slow down a bit.

Should free up a lot of RX-7s from falling into my hands in the hampton roads area and getting sent to heaven. ( I call Ebay)

As fars as the RX-7 in craigslists in Richmond, it belongs to Skizzle84 on the forum.

Sorry guys , been out of the loop a bit . Well Im back in CHKD for 2 more weeks with my son . He had an infection which has cleared up for the most part ,and the DOcs want to keep him for another 10 days on this medicine , then run a few test on another problem. So internet time is way down . Its just amazes me in this day and time that the hospitals and other public places do not offer wireless internet . Parents could get so much more work done while being by their childs side . There is a signal out there , but its real weak and you need a poassword to access it . Yoshi , maybe you can rig something up for us , hahahahha As far as Langley goes , its going to be some time before I get out there . I dont even have the engiine in the car yet , but there will be a few 7's out there . Matt if he wakes up in time / Gregg if he gets his computer back / Shawn if he quits catching his car on fire . There may be a few Im leaving out , but good luck to you all .

I feel ya bro! My son actually sounds worse now after all the treatments. Literally every other day he's goin' to the doc for more tests and checkups. Next are immunologists and allergists. Maybe we should have a fund raiser for all our med bills, lol. I know exactly what you're goin' through.

Yeah, it's pretty crappy they don't have net access there for patients. I know they have net connectivity. Maybe we should do some war driving out there to find a free wireless spot.

Jerry: I bet youre glad I just took that GSL-SE suspension off you! that's some heavy stuff to haul down to florida....

Has anyone here rebuilt a solid rear end before?? I'm going to rebuild this gsl-se rear axle I bought off Jerry later this summer, gonna try to get it in top notch shape before I put it in the car. Trouble is, I've never rebuilt a rear before. looks like you need several tool I don't have, and I may need some guidance if anyone out there can offer it.

Oh yea, my car runs amazingly well now. I've got my turbo header my brother fabbed up on, and did a small ignition upgrade (went over to a second gen coil). Also fixed a problem with the wastegate, and damn does it pull hard. I'm gonna be around late june/early july. Hope you guys have a meetup around then.

we try to have a meet every month, sometimes more than one a month. During the summer more often would be good. I am busy in June getting things together so I can't plan one. Johnny has suggested we all get together and drive up to the Maryland BBQ event. It is June 10th (Johnny correct me on the day if needed) and there is a big turnout at this thing. There is free food and drinks, and t-shirts for the first 25 people there and all sorts of cool stuff. It is about a 3-4 hr drive, but could be cool if we all go as a group. I could make a one day thing of it, but I can't stay overnight. Johnny has talked about hoteling it up there somewhere.

Any takers??? Here is the link for info:

https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showthread.php?t=523859

It is a big event. I am game if we can get a small group willing to go. It would be a fun drive up there.

There is going to be Rx7's, muscle cars, babes in bikini's, and beer If this doesn't get you excited then you have a serious problem.
ROAD TRIP
