Well in the past when I started using 10% ethanol, it cleaned all the rust out of the tank and clogged up the fuel filter.... so expect that.

LOL, congrats!

Hey Cal, I've read the noob page on autox. What do I REALLy need to take with me? I'll bring a small air compressor. Do I need a cooler of drinks, chair, etc. Well, I'll probably bring drinks anyway. Anything else I should know before I leave?

The Navy guys sell hamburgers and hotdogs for lunch. They have drinks there also. I still bring some drinks and sunscreen. Bring lawnchairs or something to sit up on the sand dune and watch. Air guage and if you have one of those little portable compressors they are good. I bring an air bottle that I can adjust the air pressure with. That is about it. Check your oil and coolany, etc at home. If you think you will need any of those things at the event, then bring them, but you probably don't.

I think we will be there about 9:00 or so.

The directions to the place are to get off at Northampton Blvd heading towards the beach (Only direction you can go onto Northampton), go down the Diamond Springs Road and turn left onto it. Go to the end of Diamond Springs and turn right onto Shore Drive. The gate you want to enter is the first one on the left (It is new, so I don't know the gate number). Once through the gate, follow the road you are on all the way to the end, the road will go around a 90 degree left and that will take you right into ACU. There is another gate at ACU where you will be checked again. Once in the place you have to go around behind the hangar and you will see everything happening.

Hey Cal, my son kept me and my wife up all night last night. Kept coughin' up gunk. I'm not in the best condition to race and I really don't want to leave my wife to handle all the kids when she's had no sleep. Yeah, she's saying I can still go, but I know she's thinkin', "You better not friggin' go!" There'll be other races.

When you didn't show up today, I was praying your son was Ok, because I know that was the most likely thing that would have kept you from being there. Is he doing OK? Sorry to hear he had a bad night. You took care of what was important, and you are right, there will be other races. I hope he is doing ok.

Thanks Cal. He's the same. There's been no real change in he condition despite treatment. But we keep truckin' on, tryin' to figure out the best course of treatment.
So...how did you do today?

Not too good. Last time I was second against pretty much the same people in my class. Did much worse today. I just could not get my head into what I was doing. I left much time still out on the course today

http://www.autocross.us/Events/TSCC/...-05-20-06.html

I figure I should have run a 56.??? or so, but it was not in the cards today.

OK guys, here is what I am doing next month... I am going to be at the Mazda Drivers Association meet at VIR that weekend. I scheduled the event for that day at VIR. Be there or be square.

I am also going to schedule another meet another weekend during the month, or other weeknight that is local. I am going to look for any other events that we can get together at. If not I am going to just schedule something simple. I am fairly busy with other things next month, so I am not going to have much free time.

So, I am open to any suggestions. The weekend of the event at VIR is t June 17-18, so I scheduled our event on Saturday afternoon at VIR. I am going to change the time to probably 2:00PM, but anyone that wants to come out there, the MDA event is the whole weekend. A couple of the coolest 3rd gens I see with regularity will be there. Plenty of track prepped 2nd gens and a handfull of 1st gens. There will also be enough other cool cars to make the weekend fun. I will provide directions to anyone interested. It is about a 3.5 hour drive. I know Johnny will be there, and I think his wife is runnign the school too.

Here is the link to RSVP if you are comming:

http://rx7.meetup.com/55/events/4944757/

Jay has also said he might come to the event. There is also a fairly new guy that is registered. It costs to enter, but it is free to come watch the Mazdas on the race track, rather than parked in the parking lot.

Kenny, When do the Wednesday nights start at Langley this year?
