Dude, you should come over. In this week alone I have pulled 3 engines and trans. Picked up one engine and trans from another guy, pulled a 13B out of the pick and pull since they had a 50% sale, stripped two cars and delivered them to the junkyard, went to MD to pick up another rex and I am at work to catch a break now, but yeah, I need to swing by one day. I will come with Yellow 79 two since one I want to pretty it up some more.

Where's a good place to get your A/C system checked out? The A/C in my car was working fine when I bought it. Of course I have used it since November and now I've noticed it doesn't work. It feels like the clutch is engaging so I assume I have a freon leak. I've had to move the evap several times, maybe I kinked one of the lines or the leak was there all along. Also, I'd like to stick with R12. Thanks guys! Oh yeah, I'll check the fuse too.

FWIW, even though I disagree with Dwayne that R134 cools better, I think you will be happier in life if oyu go ahead and convert to 134. You can do it yourself (Dear, EPA, I didn't really recommend that... ) and afterwards it can be a home maintenance operation with only a few $$$'s in tools. Otherwise every time you have to do anything to the R12 system, expect it to really cost, and having someone else do it is going to be huge dollars you might rather spend on go fast/look cool parts.

What's involved in swithing it out? I checked the AC fuse, it's good and when I checked the low pressure line, almost no gas came out. So it needs to be charged.
Actually how can I tell if it's been converted to R134?
Checked, $54/lb for R12, $250+ to convert to R134.......
How difficult is it to convert to R134? What parts need to be changed?

Yoshi, you can get a kit that just changes the r12 fitting to 134 fitting for about 10 bucks, maybe less at Pep Boys or something like that. Get yourself a recharge kit and whatnot, but you're going to want to check that leak out.
