Cool, Monty is going to call Tim about a good time to go. Like I said, for me, Sunday is the best time if I can find a sitter. But if you and Monty can work out something better for Saturday, then go ahead. Let me know and I'll pm you and Monty with directions.

 

ok those of you that want to join and help out with tims car let me know threw here .

we set somthing up for this saturday after 5pm cause thats when i get off from work. we where thinking of meeting up at lee's tires and he would take me the rest of the way to his place.

if anyone is going and have some tools ,plz see if you have a , timeing gun, multimeter. wrenchs sochets.

My car wants to start. It did start for a second, but the alternator is rattling, i just bought it and Monty put the alternator on my car this morning but i dont know what else to do. i did all the tune ups except an oil change. i have the stuff to do that but ill do that tomarrow

IF I can get my parents to watch the kids tomorrow night, I can bring some tools and a multimeter, flashlights, etc.

 

I joke Dale about the Orchestra thing, but I also have a kid who is in the school orchestra.

Monty, I always bring a camera and I put up pictures of most of the events. Check the "photos" section on the meetup site. There are pictures of most of the events. I have taken some others, but didn't post them for one reason or another.

I noticed that Dan just RSVP'ed as a mybe at the next event. We haven't seen him at any events lately.

Does anyone know who this is? They have listed this car a few times, for lots of $$$ and haven't gotten a bid yet. I don't see that an SA22C is worth money like that even when it has 46K miles on it. But you never now......

IMO that car isnt worth 9,999 i just dont see that ....maddies was what $800.00 lol and hers has all the bells and whistles on it and a kit to boot oh and lesser rust spots lol which i tooken care of

he needs a n.a.d.a book and see what its really worth.......id give him 200.00 for that thing.....

 

ok guys i bought a new alternator for my car and when monty started it up it would rattle and it would shake the whole motor what does that mean.

hey guys are you doing anything from the 21st through the 28th? I'm down in florida but my home town is Norfolk. I'll be flying up for X-mas during that time. i wish i could drive the FD up but that wouldn't be a smart idea. LMK

I'd say it's got some compression loss Maddie. Pour oil down the carb.

 

how much oil down the carb ? a cap full?

 

Try like 3-4. It's gonna smoke like hell, but at least it'll be running. The smoke will go away after a few minutes. Just run it at around 2k RPMs after it starts.

ill try that bryan and ill see if that will work but first ill get a replacement alt cause the one we got was like broken coils or something and the fan on the alt was all twisted... so that was a bad part but yeah ,ill try that after i get the new alt.

anyone going to tims besides me? pm me if your interested in going i might need some help on this.

 

switchin the rear springs out today so i can take the front struts in to work monday and replace them
