Ok, This bender is the exact one I have. They have gone up pretty significantly in price, but still if you are going to spend money on one.... you will be happier with this one.
http://www.vansantent.com/model_3_bender.htm
Of course I had it mounted on the chassis jig that weighs probably 1500 lbs. I did mention that it had to mounted solidly. They do make a hydraulic conversion that works off a standard hydraulic ram. But I didn't feel like I needed it.

Welcome to the group. First gen RX-7's are cool cars. They are not as fast as the Turbo cars, but they are fun, lightweight, and a pure pleasure to drive. Good to have another FB in the group. Hope to see you at the kart track on the 19th. I noticed that Monty listed 2 guest, I am guessing you might be one of them?

girlygirlFB, I saw your FB today. I have seen the car before around. I don't remember exactly where, but somewhere. It is a GSL and should make nice car when you get a few details worked out.
I don't know what might be the problem with Monty's FC. I just don't know them well enought to know. I am sure it is trivial to someone who really knows the cars though.

Hello Maggie, welcome!
I will take a bridgeported 12A or 13B over any second gen turbo anyday. I remember about three years ago. When Will's boys came out to Dinwiddie in their T2s and got killed by three first gens over there.
But I will take a daily driver T2 anyday over a first gen.
My choice will be a 3rd gen, but unless they drop a little bit lower for me (which I doubt) I will stick to the cheaper RXs.
Hell, it's even cheaper to have first or second gens than a RX-3. Try buying or finding parts new or used for it.
RX-3 wagon parts
Windshield - Connecticut
Driveshaft - Florida
Backseat - Virginia/Florida
3rd member - Florida
Grille - Arkansas
Fuse box cover - Utah
Gas tank - Puerto Rico
Driving a Mazda RX-3 stationwagon in Hampton Roads - Priceless!!!!!!!!!
I need my coffee.....

Is there any place I can take my car around here to find out what's wrong with it? My Turbo II will not idle, and when I started it today, it sounded like only one set of plugs were firing or something...
I've tried posting and looking for answers in the 2nd Gen Forum, but I still haven't had any success.
If anyone has any advice or know of a place I could take it, it'd greatly be aprreciated. Thanks in advance.

I assume you just need the strut inserts. If so, the best place to get them is from http://www.shox.com
They list their prices for the 2 strut inserts and the rear shocks. They have all 4 for $162.
If you need the strut bodies, I have pair for an 81. They are complete with brake rotors, calipers, etc. I will remove the the brakes if you only need the strut bodies with the spindles.
Lemme know. Are you sure your car is an 81?

hay ren was wondering whats your plans for saturday ? i bought a multimeter not sure what im looking for ,some people from advanced auto said that i was missing a knock sensor but i dought that since there is one lol....as far as it getting power thats another story.im going to check my entire electrical harness for something out of place.i hope i can find what im looking for .is there such a thing as to timing being off from the knock sensor? as in like ,does the knock sensor have to be insink with the crank angle sensor? thats been hurting my head all day and want to know if that isnt the case....or im just loosing my mind.

Those are the Tokico HP's (aka blues). I have those on my GSLSE. They are find, but some people think they are a little too stiff. I don't, but I am a performance enthusiast.
Bryan, I only got those strut bodies over the summer with one of the cars that I parted out. I didn't have them when you needed them.
Girly, the reason I ask is that your car has a disk brake rearend. Those were not available on an '81 RX7. So someone along the line swapped that into your car. If you ever go to get rear brake parts you are going to have to get them for an 83-85 GSL. It is a fairly common swap and it is definately better than the stock 81 rear brake drums.

GSLSE brakes are just fine. Besides I now have the big brake kit I tried to get you to buy as well. The reason I have the FC parts car is that it is a big brake 5 bolt wheel car. Those are going to end up on my GSLSE. Those will be more brakes than a TII engine in my car would need. I am not sure what I am planning yet, but I am going somewhere along that direction.
FWIW, real track car people avoid drilled and slotted rotors. It should tell you something when Tire Rack says they are not for track use.
Read this page...
http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/tech/....jsp?techid=87
That basically says.... "These things are only to look cool, they are not to make you go faster". Sorry, I don't buy performance brake parts for appearance.....
