I have the 13B crossmember, but honestly with a press you can modify the 12A one enough to make it work just fine. I would not spend the $80 for the RB one. If you don't use the press method you can slot the holes in the subrame 10mm and the holes in the cross brace 10mm and it will work fine. It is really not a big deal.

Straight pipe on a rotary is not quiet in any way. Even back when sports car racing didn't require mufflers, the rotary guys were using them. The old lava rock mufflers used to be the hot set up. Usually provided more power than with no muffler...
BTW, I now have an 86 that looks like it will be a parts car. Anyone need anything?

This 86 has a good straight body if anyone needs one. It has big brakes and 5 bolt rims (the directional ones like on the 10 anniversary cars) , it has the small rear spoiler and the aero things in front of the rear tires. It has good engine, trans, and rear. Has eh? condition red seats. The dash, guages, etc. look to be in good shape. Exhaust looks good, windows work, etc. Car is white. I guess an 86 is an S4 (from what I have been told). Drivers side door handle is missing (as usual for a second gen).
If you need anything let me know and I will see what is there.
