Well, the FD is no longer in Maryland... I just got her moved to the new house this afternoon. I neglected to take a picture, but we're going from a single car garage with about 2ft of clearance on either side of the car, and about 6-7 feet of room the long way... To a three car garage that the owner set up to have a welding station in (220v drop, and "cement board" lining a few sections of the wall).
Sooooo stoked about this!! Gunna get everything else moved by Saturday, clean up the old house on Sunday, and start working at Quantico on Tuesday. Busy busy...

The house is off Telegraph Rd, about a mile or two south of 495.
Yeah, same here. Eventually we want to buy a house with a two car garage, then build a detached work area with 3-4 bays, a lift, welding station, etc., etc.
Nice! Some day my dream is to have a house with enough space to build a dedicated garage w/workshop. Until then, everything is crammed in like sardines because my house has no basement or attic and therefore everything ends up in the garage with the cars, tools, and bikes. Ah well, first world problems :P

Coming back to Alexandria eh? Sounds like a sweet spot, let me know if you have any free parking spots available I could use somewhere to park some toys.
I can pay by doing some welding jobs...

Le garage: (sadly, I think one spot will belong to brewing stuff, the bike, and lawnmowers)

Also, who wants a racing FB that now looks as fast as it goes? I'd consider letting it go for $3500 with car cover and spares.

You've got the 7670 in there right? The ride might be all it takes for me to finally place my order.

I used 50g per gallon. 2 gallons of black PDS to get 4 base coats and 1.5 gallons of topcoat to get 3 pearl coats. I didn't do any gloss coats since there was only half a gallon of topcoat left and I was still getting the technique down. Maybe next time.
edit: there are SOOOO many colors to choose from it's hard to decide. I want to try them all. Never mind the color shift and chameleon colors :P
edit2: Took the car to work today. Snapped a quick pic in the parking lot. Couldn't wait to see it in the daylight for the first time

Thanks, from short distance, its evident that I ran out of paint, and had a few paint runs. All in all, I am happy with the results, and she definitely looks better than before.
BTW - You are more than welcome to borrow the paint gun/compressor that I used. Its not the DYC brand/setup, but its very similar.

Yeah, the 7670 is in, but it's still at very low boost, so don't expect anything too crazy. I definitely need to get my boost control solenoid wired up and tuned.

Thanks!
I guess anything closer than 10ft, and the opinions will change
I did, almost 2 gal of black as base, 2 gals of white, and 2 gals of yellow (needed at least 3 of yellow, 4 gal would've done the trick)
Its amazing how the dark color covers really quick, and the light colors not so much lol
Did you experienced LOTS of overspray with your gun/setup?
