That's great to know. I usually don't get off until 1600 anyway, then depending on if we have a side project going it might be later when I leave. The only part I see that is going to suck is traffic from Vienna to Manasses on 66.

Ill be down to come to a meet. Im not sure what/where CFA is but keep up updated. I dont have my FD here but I do have my E39 M5 (old man) here which could work for autox/track days as well.

Spring cruise start of season thread is up. Choose either April 11th or April 12th and hope for good weather.

I screwed up and typed Spring 2014 instead of Spring 2015 for the title, I asked pele to fix it so hopefully that will be done soon.

It appears there is another cruise going on the 18th. If you cant make ours, you might want to check that out.

Yeah I saw your thread, unfortunately I will be out of town. Also, there will be a lot of guys heading down south for DGRR that weekend so I don't know how many others will be in town either. Just a bad weekend, sorry man. Thanks for the invite though. I appreciate others trying to get events going too.

Indeed, is anybody caravanning to dgrr? I'm leaving from Charlotte with about 4-5 FDs and maybe a handful of other rx7s on Thursday.

Alright everybody, it's autocross time. Next weekend (the 9th) the Capital Driving Club is running an event at the Blue Crabs Stadium in Waldorf. If you don't know about this lot, it is well worth going to. It is huge, has decent grip, and is a great place to spectate as well with full bathrooms and a good view of the whole course. If you have considered AutoX before, this is the place to get your feet wet. It is a great group of fun loving amateurs who just want to get out and drive fast. Instructors (and I) will be available to ride along with anyone who wants them, and you can ride along with anyone else.

Come one, come all. It'll be fun

Register Here <-You can do this now if you also sign up for a membership, or wait a week and hope there are still spots available if you arent ready to commit to 3 races this year (money break even point)

AutoX FAQ <- if you have any questions here is a FAQ, or just ask me here

I'll be out of town Eventually I'll make it back out to a CDC event... The Waldorf lot is a lot nicer than Frederick.

Yeah, twice as nice I'd say. Hope to see you out there soon Pro.

To everyone else:
REGISTRATION IS OPEN to non-members now. If you haven't signed up, do it now the spots will likely go quick.

Just registered, still pending spot approval. We'll see!!

Also, I just kicked Ed an email about joining CDC. I doubt it will go through in time for the member pricing on Saturday, but there is always the next event ^_^

You don't pay until day of. So, when you get there go to the registration table and just tell them that you are signing up for a membership as well. They will apply the discount for you at that time.

It's cash only also, just FYI.

If you don't get in, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

Werd, Yeah I was talking to Ed. I'm in 3rd or 4th heat and I'll bring $60 for the day and the membership fee =)

If my Wee Heavy has carbonated by this weekend do you want me to bring one or two out for ya?

I'm actually getting pissed at this batch... The ******* have had a month to carbonate (usually 10 days is all that is needed) and they still haven't carbonated... I think I may have just waited too long on bottling it and the yeast exhausted themselves.

I'm gunna need to look into force-carbonating this batch..

It tastes great right now as far as flavor and stuff, it's just flat

Switch to kegging. It's a little costly to get the equipment at first, but by far the best move I made.

Yeah, that's def the game plan. I called up the MD Homebrew Store in Columbia earlier today and they've got everything in stock to get it setup. I figure a $300-$400 buy in price for EVERYTHING (if buying new Corny's) is worth it if only for the lack of hassle and turn-around between fermenting and drinking. A buddy of mine in Baltimore also mentioned selling me his stuff as well since he doesn't brew as much anymore and only bottles his anyway.

Either way, I figure I'll be pouring my batch of Wee Heavy from the bottles into a keg by Sunday evening

So yeah... I got the keg set up this weekend and transferred about 2 gal of my Wee Heavy (10.4 ABV) into it.

I think getting a kegging setup at home was a bad idea... I got home from work yesterday and had two pints of it... By the time my wife got home I was drunk as a skunk and playing video games, I was DEF in the dog house last night!!

I need another 5 gal corny and this time I need to limit my beer to UNDER 7% (who am I fooling... that **** ain't gunna happen!! )

Anyone doing CFA today? I've been considering it, but I'm not going to head out unless I hear of a couple others showing up.
