If you or the person you sell it to end up parting it out, let me know, I am looking for a few things.

I would rather pass it on to someone who is interested in restoring it.

In summary, it has a working Atkins Rotory street ported 12A with about 30K miles on it, sloted and drilled rotors, Mind spring exhaust system including headers, cat replacement pipe and muffler (needs new muffler), Racing Beat lowering springs, upgraded ignition system and wires, fairly new tires with a lot of thread left, etc. etc.

I live in Gaithersburg. Please PM me if interested in seeing it.
Ive been thinking of getting back in the RX7 game. Turbo awd and V8's can only go so far. Neither have that sound of feel of a rotary

Hey guys. It's been a pretty long time since I've been on here, what with the military and schooling and all. Just wanted to let you all know I'm finally at my permanent duty station here at JOINT BASE ANDREWS or Andrew's Air Force Base. I'll be here for the next 4 years or so. So if you guys have a meet or a cruise or something, I'll be more than happy to join in on the fun.

I also just picked up an 06 Mazdaspeed 6 Grand Touring 6 speed. Cant wait to take some more adventures in it.

machine shop

Can anyone recommend a machine shop in Northern Va? I need to get a broken off screw removed from a Harley Davidson rocker box. I could theoretically do it myself with drill press but am too lazy. Thanks.

Springfield Custom Auto Machine, they're down Terminal Rd past the tank farm. Talk to Lloyd, he's a great guy!

Sorry for the delayed reply. I was hoping to sell it to someone who will keep it going. Other than the rust spots in the rear, it is in good shape. If you are interested in buying the car, I will be posting pictures shortly. I don't have the room to store it to part it out and it is currently licensed and registered so it sits in front of my home.

More accurately we took it there and they advised how to do the repair. Thanks again for the recommendation.

I've got a bolt extractor kit (drill and reverse threaded screw types) if you want to borrow that. It worked for me when I needed to get a sheared off bolt out of my front iron..

99 problems...

So I've been tearing into the car trying to diagnose why my secondary isn't making any boost and I keep finding more and more things wrong. First I found the CRV was leaking pressure even when shut, so some of my secondary boost is just being lost to atmosphere. Then I found my upgraded check valve on the pressure tank had a hole in the diaphragm you could see completely through so there was no way the tank would be able to store pressure which is needed to switch the secondary online. Then I found my turbo control solenoid doesn't switch at all (infinite resistance on the coil) after it's been warmed up to operating temperature in the oven. I haven't even tested the rest of the rack solenoids yet. I'm actually amazed the car was running as well as it was with all these problems at the cruise / AutoX. Time for a single? Hrmmmm....

Although I love my twins, it's hard to argue not going single. My second set of twins are now blowing oil in less then 2500 miles...

Gonna give the twins one more shot at proving their worth since I went through the trouble of putting on a low mileage set not that long ago. My current plan is to replace ALL the solenoids with OEM new. That outta take care of that for another 100k miles / 22 years :P

I saw that FD for sale. That's a lot of car for 3750 and the interior looks great. Can't tell for sure but those look like pretty $$ wheels and it has some other stuff (aftermarket radiator, etc.). Good starting point but a pretty big project there.
