I didn't, just sprayed over the existing base coat. After 2 years it wasn't in perfect shape so the end result would have been better if I had peeled and then started fresh. But then I'd have to lay down a whole new base coat before shooting the metallic anyway. It looks okay from a distance but there are plenty of rough edges.

I have the original DYC Wagner. They've gone through two iterations of newer/better sprayers since they sold this one. It doesn't have a great spray pattern or atomization so it does result in a bit of tiger striping and makes it especially hard to apply the clearcoat evenly :/

I didn't. I'm not sure how I'd mask off that area and keep overspray out of the interior. Seems like a lot of extra work for what amounts to a temporary color change anyway :P

Question for you all, and excuse me if it's stupid. Should I use a block of wood on my jack before I jack the car up on the diff?

I do use a block of wood. Just make sure to secure the car on jackstands before getting under it!

I don't. The FCs rear diff has a nice flat spot that my jack securely fits on. it's aluminum, but I don't really care about scratching it...

Top priority for me is jacking the car up securely. I think the wood would have a much higher probability of slipping.

and yes, always put it on jack stands afterwards.

Awesome, thanks for the response. I've never had a RWD car before this one so I've never jacked one up by the diff, I just didn't want to damage anything. And I always use jack stands to keep the car suspended.

Big turnout all around, but I did spy a few rotaries. We even had two CYM's out today

That would be the one Red C0met. You didn't see the crowd yesterday. I think we had close to 1000 cars out. The entire lot was full along with the side street and parts of a couple lots across the street.

Well damn I didn't know there were meet ups there. My wife and I usually don't go around that area, we prefer the Chantilly area. But we live right off Stone Rd. I'll have to attend the next one, without my FC unfortunately. She has seen better days.

That one was a once a year thing, but I hang out there with NU Conceptz car club on Tuesday nights most weeks. Let me know if you ever plan on stoping by and I'll take the FD out. All cars are welcome on Tuesdays!

Ah gotcha! I'll bring the Speed 3 out when I get the chance. And I'm always on board seeing an FD, always loved those things.

Hey guys. Long time FC owner here. I wrecked my FC vert and I am looking to part with some things that I never got a chance to install on my car. Would anyone be interested in some KYB AGX Adjustable shocks and/or Intrax lowering springs. Both sets of items are BRAND NEW.

I regret to inform everyone on here that I have sold my fc. I will miss it and I already do more than I thought I would, I have so many memories in that car. Priorities come first though, and I need a house. I predict that I will get back into the rotary game at some point in the future though. You guys might see me again sometime! Till then... farewell
