Look man. If its a stock twin setup it wont cost anymore then 500 bucks to tune it on the dyno. We give numbers with it.

I have a dataloggit so we could compare the map you've got loaded to a base map and make sure your ECU wasn't tuned for 1600cc injectors or something nutty like that. Unless you have a stuck/leaking injector you should be able to pass emissions with your setup. Do you have the DEQ print-out? I'm curious what your numbers were.

Yeah, I have the printout, the numbers were pretty high too. Anything that could help would be appreciated at this point. I still don't know my way around the engine bay as much as I'd like.

I can't promise anything but I'd be happy to take a look. I've already got plans this w/e and a track event next w/e followed by a trip out of state so I'm pretty booked for the next few. No chance you can make it to the CFA meet tonight with the car right?

Sorry, just saw this. Not sure that's a good idea seeing as it's not registered so there's not a legal tag for it. Since I just bought it, I have been using a tag from the car I just sold, but only to get to and from shops. If it doesn't pass this weekend, I'll be more willing to try and get it out that way for a look.

I saw a Black RHD today in Bristow on Sudley Manor Drive. Are you on here? I seem to only see FD's when I'm in my daily driver.

Does anyone have any blown S5 Turbos lying around? I need the rear plate that covers the wastegate for an experiment...

I have a complete one in my garage. I had it up for sale, but I recently took a close look at it and the exhaust turbine is wrecked and it has a bit of shaft play.
When are you coming to VA next? I'm sure we can work something outside you're experienced in engine tear down and rebuild now. I need to install my Turblown studs and need a rotary adaptor to borrow for my engine stand.

Ian, I have the adapter for an engine stand. Its not like the pineapple racing one, but it works; been tested more than a couple of times. You are more than welcome to borrow it

installing the turblown studs should be easy since you don't actually have to crack open the engine... you can just use a couple giant wood clamps to hold it together when you take the big bolts out. That's what I did when I swapped my rear plate.

clamps like this:

I never go to VA I'll be at fedex field this Sunday...

I've been using Wes' engine stand adapter and flywheel wrench.

I want a turbo because I want to use the back plate to make a spacer like this:
https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generati...s-spec-436262/

but now I'm thinking it might be easier just to start from scratch and make one out of steel.

Mike, if it is just a simple spacer without high tolerances on material width I can do it easy (especially if I can find a piece of stock the right size that I don't need to plane). If you make a DXF of what you are looking for I'll cut one out for you.

Does anyone in the NOVA area have a high flow cat or stock cat for sale/rent? A buddy of mine just needs it to pass emissions and get his car registered. He just got his rx7 back from the shop after 6 months of crap.

Yeah what dewkiie said. I just got my FD back from a shop that was such a hassle. Let me know if any of you guys have a stock cat or highflow that I can buy or borrow for my emissions.

I have the FC Commander Pro cable and the Apexi Software on my laptop, and i tuned my Power FC on my FD. If you want to do some tableing sometime, let me know. I did not dyno tune my car, i road tuned it using the realtime map and a wideband.

And whoever was talking about the RHD FD, thats a guy named Phillip. He's really cool guy to talk to, cant remember the name of his shop off the top of my head though.

Sorry I missed you, I go to these from time to time. I hope you enjoyed them, was there a good turnout? Those were some great days of weather.

I have a spare cat laying around and we might be able to talk about a deal for it. PM me if you want to talk more.

This is often a shortcut option that people take but is not legal unless that county is actually where you are storing the car.

For all those interested there is a Fall Cruise being planned for later in the month. It is a great time to get together with other members and make connections which will often help you out a lot when looking for parts/help locally.

Here is the link : https://www.rx7club.com/ne-rx-7-foru...013-a-1048263/

They are usually a lot of fun too

They're usually good (at least the Great falls ones) but there was good turnout for both this week. Saw a White RX-7 Saturday and the (above mentioned) RHD Black one from JEI was there Sunday. Didn't get to talk to the owner, but my gf's little brother knows someone who works for him apparently. NSXPrime seemed to have a particulary strong showing Sunday, it was nice to see.

Hey guys, if you've got an FC then check out my FS threads in the NE FS section. I want to unload all the stuff, I'm open to more offers from you locals. I hate shipping parts.
Enjoy your weekends!

This is just simply not a factual statement.

If you'd like to know exactly what you cannot do look it up in the Virginia Code. I believe it is the appropriate information is under Title 46.2 Ch.10 if you are interested. You can modify your car, just within certain restrictions.

Hey everyone, I just moved down into Woodbridge/Dumfries, VA at the end of August for a job. So far I'm liking area, and I just recently brought my FC down from my parents place in PA and I was looking for any suggestions of places to have work done on it in the future. As well as meeting some fellow Rx7 owners! Thanks again to Molotovman for directing me to this post!

Can I put myself down for a maybe? I work Saturday nights, starting at 9pm so if it's not too late I'd like to come out.
