Wait isn't that that a VW event? Might be a cool, but really depends on what type of crowd shows up. Have you ever been?
If you are going to go to a show that weekend though, the one to go to is the Carlisi event at NJMP. https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati...hread-1009152/

Its v.a.g. so yes lol... ive went the past 3 years and its always a good time. Last year a whole squad of miatas drove around. A supra got totalled.. and a couple drift looking cars showed up. I would love to make to that bbq... that would awesome. ive already made commitments for h2o :-(.... ill be in white s4 t2... with a green sc300 and a nasty audi 4000. Should hear the audi before anybody sees it lol. It would be cool to make a mini meet if anybody goes..... oh off topic but just installed the flocked dash... wayyyyy worth it if anybody was thinking about it

Hey everybody. It's been awhile and I just wanted to stop by and say hey an I'm coming back that way next Saturday from college to start working and starting on the swap in my fc. So if you guys wanna help a newbie out or provide advice it'll be much appreciated.

Matt you already know my affinity for flat black primer. So of course I love this! looks like you learned a few things since last time. How'd the rear passenger quarter panel turn out? Also, are you going to update the wheels any?
#492
I did a bunch of fixing dents and dings and tried to clean up that rear quarter. It's still not factory perfect but think it turned out a lot better than before:
I think I may redo the wheels in bronze or gunmetal to go with the matte black. BTW, it's not primer -- it's not even paint!

www.dipyourcar.com - when I saw this and watched their youtube videos I knew I had to give it a try.

I might have to borrow your spray gun, Matt. I was thinking about doing my FC in orange, purple, or yellow when it's done. Did it spray pretty easily? It looks nice from the pics.

Nice body work and wing delete too

The repair areas are all fully primered and wet sanded. I didn't spray dip on any bare metal or body filler directly.
Sure, the sprayer that comes with the kit is super easy to use compared to a regular HVLP gun. I have a few areas I want to clean up (the great thing about this stuff is you can repair cuts, tears, surface texture, etc with just a gloved finger and some paint thinner) and I want to respray the tail light housings and just peel the lens area for a more complete effect. I watched all the tutorial videos on youtube to get a handle on the proper technique before starting.

They thin it out for you so it's ready to spray. Just point and shoot! I removed the wing to spray the rear deck and did the wing separately. It's all back together now. I thought about deleting it and removing the rear wiper too. Maybe next time. Already thinking of matte white or some crazy color. With all the prep work already done, it's a 2-3 hour project to do an entire car.

Yeah, now you can change paint colors on a whim. How much does it cost you for the material to do a full coat?
Also, I need to start planning the Fall road trip (Casey reminded me about it, thanks ) . Does everyone want to coincide with the MIR Imports v Domestics again? Or should we do it on a different weekend?
